This is our 10th year (3rd as Wyndham Grand?). The minute we are checked in, we search Victor out. He is tireless, gracious, kind and leaves nothing to chance! We love you, Victor! (The rest of the staff is AMAZING, as well, we just fell in love with Victor!

Good hot food and great margaritas and super yummy ice cream
5 - our waiter Angel was amazing. The view was beautiful at nite! Cadillac margaritas were yummy and smooth. Sea bass had a great taste and my fajita steak with cheese was really good!

A Beautiful Resort
We have been Vacation Club members for 17 years. This is a wonderful resort. The resort is spotlessly clean and the food is very good at all the restaurants. The employees are friendly, helpful, and eager to please. Ulises at the beach is a great waiter/server. Everyday he had a place ready for us on the beach. Ulises was always friendly and happy to serve us!

Feb 02, 2026Wonderful Staff and Memories, Just Missed Our Beach Breakfast
We stayed at the Wyndham Grand Cancun from January 24–31. My family and I have been coming here for nearly 20 years, and what truly makes this resort special are the long-time employees who make you feel like family. Victor Manuel Candelaria Zavala has made our breakfasts and lunches at Piña Colada extra special with his warm, friendly personality and careful attention to our meal requests. Seeing his son, Carlos, now working alongside him makes the experience even more enjoyable. Victor truly makes sure you want for nothing. The same goes for Enrique at Da Vinci’s. He has been working at this resort for 36 years and always goes out of his way to make your dining experience memorable. If he can’t get it for you, no one can. At the buffet, La Palomas, it’s always great to see Edwin, Carlos, and Noe. On our first night, I had a special request for the Asian stir-fry, and Adan, the restaurant manager, and Edwin worked with Chef Alfredo to make it happen. It was absolutely delicious! I also can’t forget the wonderful bartenders. Oliver at the poolside bar made my special morning Bloody Mary and my favorite Frangelico, Baileys, and Kahlúa piña colada, perfection! And Orlando at the lobby bar is truly an artist with his drink garnishes and is always so welcoming. One of our favorite parts of this resort has always been Piña Colada’s, the beachfront restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast with your feet in the sand while watching the sunrise. It’s what makes this place feel extra special and unique from all the other resorts. Unfortunately, this time it was not open for breakfast. I understand that during the off-season some staff take vacation and there may be fewer guests, but January is peak season, and having it closed in the mornings was disappointing for those of us who look forward to this experience. I shared my concerns with both the Vacation Club manager and the manager on duty, but instead of receiving a clear answer, I was passed along to others and never got a straight explanation. That was frustrating and is why I’m giving this stay four stars instead of five. We still love this resort and the amazing people who work here, and we truly hope breakfast at Piña Colada’s returns in the future. It has always been a highlight of our stay, and we really missed it.

You get what you pay for! Too many children and even infants on this property!
The staff were very nice and professional! The property was clean! Common restrooms and pool area bathrooms need more attention! Mini fridge in room stocked at bare minimum for all inclusive resort! Heat lamps at La Paloma buffet provide no heat, food was often cold, not even warm! Fitness center very small and towels weren’t often available there! If you are looking to relax, away from children, this is not your resort, children are everywhere even using adult amenities!
