    Pleasant Stay

Had a great experience here. The people here are very friendly and professional. They are very accommodating. The location requires a rental vehicle as it is not walking distance to much. It is not on the beach, but they do provide a shuttle to the beach, 3 minutes away, where they have a private area with umbrellas etc.. The rooms are as they appear in their photos. It is small but good for a couple or single and beautifully decorated. It does have everything you would need. It was cleaned every day and fresh towels etc.. were provided. Our flight was delayed and the checkout time was extended to accommodate us.

Perfect for a quiet getaway — welcoming staff and serene vibes

I can’t say enough good things about my stay here. If you’re looking for something quiet, peaceful, and off the beaten path, this place is truly special. The resort itself is tucked away and very serene — not directly on the beach, but beach chairs are available and they’ve recently added food and drink service right to your chair, which made beach days effortless. It felt private and calm, never crowded or touristy. What really made this stay unforgettable was the staff. Suzanna went above and beyond in every possible way. This was my first holiday away from family, and she made it incredibly special — she surprised me with a Christmas card and a bottle of wine, taught a complimentary yoga class, helped me book activities, and even coordinated a massage at Kokomo. She is truly a gem. Wenie was also amazing — she sent over delivery service options before I even arrived and shared thoughtful recommendations for beaches and local spots. Every interaction felt warm and genuine; she always greeted me with a smile and made me feel so welcome. The on-site restaurant WE at Kokomo was fantastic — a perfect east-meets-west menu. Everything I tried was fresh, healthy, and delicious, and the cocktails were on point. The bartender, Mufasa, makes an unreal tiramisu martini — don’t skip it. The spa experience was equally wonderful. The massage room was incredibly zen, and the Balinese massage I booked set the tone for my entire day in the best way. The room itself was modern, calming, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage — it felt like a true retreat. A few helpful tips: • I’d recommend renting a car so you have the freedom to explore (just note that driving is on the opposite side of the road, which takes a little getting used to). • Stop at the grocery store early for water, snacks, and simple breakfast items — super convenient for relaxed mornings. Overall, this is the perfect place if you’re looking for a reset, a slower pace, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. I left feeling restored, cared for, and already dreaming of returning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars — highly recommend.

An Honest Review of One on Marlin

We booked this property for the great reviews and the great price. Turks and Caicos is overall very, very pricey, so we felt the price was right for what we were looking for. We knew going in the property was not on or very near the beach, and that was fine. A car is essential if you stay at One on Marlin. Just know that driving can be treacherous. The island contains exactly zero stop lights and zero Stop signs. Rather, roundabouts or traffic circles as they are sometimes known substitute for both. While not exactly a free-for-all, it can take nerves of steel to navigate around the island and the traffic, especially at peak driving times. Add to that driving is on the opposite side of the road than the U.S and many other countries and it can be a recipe for anxiety and angst. Now on to the actual property. The first thing I can say about this property is it is by no means a resort or spa. No pool, no restaurants, no actual spa to speak of, no fitness center, no activities of any kind. But are these things really necessary? Arguably, no they are not. The Marlin has a sister property named Kokomo just down the road a piece. The Kokomo has a restaurant and small gorgeous pool that those staying at One on Marlin can access. While the sister property is walkable (about 15 minute walk) I don’t recommend it as there are no sidewalks and the road leading is very narrow. The rooms: The rooms at One on Marlin are charming. You will find no hotel tower here; rather small clusters of buildings each containing 2-3 units from what I could tell. The property is beautifully maintained and from the moment you enter the grounds you are met with a sense of peace, tranquility and privacy. Our room, a small one bedroom ‘suite’ was adequate for our needs. While I wouldn’t classify it as luxurious by any means, the rooms all contain a completely furnished kitchenette which includes a full size refrigerator, microwave, two-burner stove stop, coffee maker and coffee supplies and all utensils , pots, pans, cups, glasses, etc are provided. Coffee and condiments were replenished daily. A rather small bathroom with a wonderful walk in shower, toilet and single sink work quite nicely. You won’t find any up-scale (or even down-scale for that matter) amenities or toiletries in the bathroom. Not even bar soap. Instead bulk, unbranded dispensers of body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap are present. If you are used to bathing with bar soap as I am you may want to bring one along. The bedroom, which is really just a separate sleeping area partitioned off from the sitting area and kitchen is small. The one major complaint I have here is the bed size. Advertised as a queen bed, I have my doubts. I’m pretty certain this was a double bed. As mentioned, this area is small, but a larger bed frame, even a king would most certainly fit in the allotted area. Linen, both in the bathroom and for the bed were of high quality and comfortable. A pair of bathrobes are provided for your use. Each room has a lovely patio or balcony attached to enjoy a glass of wine or coffee in the morning. A large flatscreen wall-mounted T.V. that can swivel between bedroom and sitting area completes the accommodation. If it sounds like I may have been slightly disappointed in the room and property overall you would be right. However what makes this place special is the service. I absolutely can not say enough positive things, nor does my vocabulary contain enough superlatives to describe the personalized service we received while we were guests. Starting with Suzanna, who treated us as if we were the only guests there right through to the housekeepers and beach shuttle driver, the service was by far the best I have ever received anywhere and as a flight attendant who travels for a living I can tell you I have had some excellent service at properties all over the world. Nothing compares to Suzanne and her staff. Simply amazing. Suzanne was always there to provide us whatever we needed; from restaurant and beach recommendations to greeting us after a long day at the beach with fresh towels for the next day. She even provides guests with a cell phone for the stay in case you do not enable international calling or data for your visit to the islands. The housekeeping staff was amazing; always seeming to know when we were in or out of our room without disturbing us. The service alone at One on Marlin is reason enough to book here. Also note that, even though not mentioned on the website, they do have car rental available directly at the property and prices were much are generally much better than the island car rental companies. Had I not pre reserved and paid for a car I would have used this service. The beach: There is a reserved area with loungers and umbrellas on the beach in the beautiful Bight area and a shuttle that runs pretty much on demand to transport you back and forth. A ride of approximately five minutes has you from property to white sands and blue waters! The food: As mentioned earlier, the sister property, Kokomo is home to a solitary restaurant named We Market and Cafe. I’m not sure where the market part of this charming lovely nook of a restaurant is, but regardless it is worth checking out. We ate here twice. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. The dinner was hit or miss. The service was strange. The waiter, while friendly, appeared to be either new or just not knowledgeable on the menu or proper service etiquette. There was only one or two other tables when we were there yet it was quite a bit of time before we were greeted. While taking our order I asked if Parmesan cheese was available for the pasta I ordered and the server’s response was “I think so”. Oddly, even though my husband had not yet ordered the server then left our table and disappeared for the next 5 minutes. Upon returning my husband ordered the tuna sandwich. He asked if anything came with the sandwich to which our server replied “I don’t think so”. That being said the server was friendly and accommodating. My pasta with shrimp was very good and prepared as advertised. My husband was a tad disappointed with his sandwich as he was expecting an actual piece of grilled tuna but instead this tuna sandwich was in fact a mayonnaise based tuna salad sandwich. He did however enjoy the flavor but felt the menu was a bit misleading as the sandwich on the menu was advertised as a ‘grilled tuna sandwich’. Breakfast on our final day served by the personable and friendly Ruth was good but nothing amazing. I ordered the waffle with fresh berries and whipped cream. At a property billed as high end I was disappointed that fresh whipped cream was replaced with that from a can. My husband’s omelette was tasty and served with toast and hash browns. Unfortunately the hash browns were two frozen deep fried hash brown patties, similar to what you would find at a fast food restaurant . Once again the expectation at what is billed as a fine dining establishment was not met in regard to the hash browns. A minor quibble to be sure. In summary, One on Marlin has a whole lot of positives. If seclusion and peace and quiet amid beautiful surroundings served along side a healthy dose of phenomenal service is what you are looking for, One on Marlin will most definitely fill the bill. Just don’t expect unparalleled luxury here but do expect to be ‘wowed’ by Suzanna and everyone you come in contact with at One on Marlin.

An Exceptional Adults-Only Escape- Truly Above and Beyond

I had an unforgettable stay at this resort in TCI, and the credit goes entirely to the owner- Suzanna, whose hospitality was truly remarkable. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for-something that meant a lot as a woman traveling alone in the Caribbean. Suzanna went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed: reliable taxi contacts, great restaurant recommendations, local spots for coffee and souvenirs, and guidance on the best beaches for swimming and relaxation. Every suggestion she gave was spot-on! She always had time to answer questions, offer tips, and check in to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay. Because of her, I felt safe, supported, and completely able to enjoy Provo. If you are looking for a peaceful adults-only getaway with a host who truly goes above and beyond, look no further. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and I'm already looking forward to coming back!

    Relaxing Beach Vacation

The location was quiet and beautiful. The staff, Wenie and Jefferies, were extremely friendly and helpful. All the amenities were fantastic. WiFi was terrific. And I did my best to be off my phone! We did love that they had lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach.
