Apr 11, 2026A Peaceful, Welcoming Retreat for a Relaxing Solo Getaway
I had such a lovely stay at One on Marlin. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful place to unwind, this is truly a hidden gem. I loved the view from my balcony (green hills). The room was comfortable and thoughtfully set up, and I found myself using the kitchen daily for simple meals, which made my stay feel easy and home-like. Everything was clean, functional, and conducive to a relaxed pace. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Alberto at the resort was incredibly helpful and attentive, Mimi from housekeeping kept everything in great shape, and Jeffrey—who handled both the shuttle and beach support—was consistently kind and accommodating. As a solo traveller, I felt genuinely looked after the entire time. The shuttle made getting around simple. It’s a short ride to the beach, where there were always chairs and umbrellas available, and also to Kokomo Botanical Resort, their sister property. Kokomo has a beautiful pool and a great restaurant, and if you decide to stay for dinner, it’s about a 15-minute walk back (the shuttle runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm). For groceries, the Graceway IGA is just a short walk from Kokomo, which made it easy to stock up and enjoy meals in. I came for rest and relaxation, and that’s exactly what I got—along with warm, genuine hospitality. I would absolutely recommend One on Marlin, especially for solo travellers looking for a calm, supportive, and peaceful stay.

Total bliss with very friendly service.
My husband and I stayed four nights at this lovely little resort which is by no means luxurious. But it’s clean and super quiet with a relaxing vibe. Beds are comfortable, the terrace was nice and private. We barely saw anyone and when we did it was one of the workers waving hello and greeting us. They could use another chair on the terrace (which they brought to us). Kitchen had no bowls or plates and the coffee machine looked old, so that was the only thing I missed - making a nice cup of coffee. It would have been great if they provided some coffee and creamers too but we just got coffee elsewhere. The hotel's free shuttle service to the beach felt private. I would text the driver and he would be there within minutes, if he wasn’t waiting for us already. Suzanne was super friendly and helpful! She checked in on us and even arranged our snorkeling tour. She literally was like a private concierge. The hotel’s “beach club” (lounge chairs with umbrellas, small tables next to chairs and a friendly attendant sitting next to a water cooler) that the 4 minute free shuttle ride brings you to is right next to Wymara where we ate our meals. Do not bother going to the restaurant at the sister resort, Kokomo, the service is lacking (they took forever to approach us when there was one other table there) and the food was pricey for what you got, which was barely edible, my fish burgers tasted like rubber. For restaurants, we ate at Somewhere Cafe which is right on the beach and a ten minute walk from the hotel's beach club. The shuttle service is from 9am to 5pm so for dinners we used Fulford Taxi Service who were great and very reasonably priced. We ate breakfast every day at Indigo (Wymara) and had a delicious dinner there too, we also had dinner at Grace’s Cottage where we walked to town afterwards, Rock House (amazing!) and Da Conch Shack. If you want a pool then the free shuttle takes you to Kokomo, their pool seemed nice but we never went in it. The beaches are so beautiful that there was no reason for us to go sit by a pool. We recommend One on Marlin, it made for a very relaxing vacation.

Hidden Gem
Quiet, spotless ( thank you Mimi!) and beautifully maintained, this property is the perfect place to truly unwind and escape. Suzanna and her staff went above and beyond to personalize our vacation experience. From recommending wonderful places to eat and visit, to arranging an on-site car rental, every detail was thoughtfully handled. They even provided beach chairs and an umbrella for our trips to other beaches, along with a cell phone for local calls while on the island. Their exceptional hospitality made our stay effortless and unforgettable.

A Peaceful Getaway with Exceptional Hospitality
We had an amazing stay at One On Marlon! Suzanne went above and beyond to make our visit both memorable and meaningful. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly pleasant and made us feel like part of the family. The resort itself was spotless, quiet, and beautifully maintained—exactly what we needed to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy some true peace and tranquility. We’re so grateful for Suzanne’s kindness and hospitality, and we can’t wait to come back again soon!

Pleasant Stay
Had a great experience here. The people here are very friendly and professional. They are very accommodating. The location requires a rental vehicle as it is not walking distance to much. It is not on the beach, but they do provide a shuttle to the beach, 3 minutes away, where they have a private area with umbrellas etc.. The rooms are as they appear in their photos. It is small but good for a couple or single and beautifully decorated. It does have everything you would need. It was cleaned every day and fresh towels etc.. were provided. Our flight was delayed and the checkout time was extended to accommodate us.
