    So so

Our room attendant/hostess, Elsa, did a fantastic job and was very personable and kind. She made the stay very welcoming unlike some of the outside bar staff. The only downside to our stay was construction going on causing our paths to and from our room to be a hindrance as well as some of the amenities like the bar to be closed during our stay. The noise from the construction was annoying as well.

    No towels

Currently staying here and they refuse to provide towels. I’ve been asking for three days and they will not provide towels to shower or even pool towels. Not sure what they expect us to use.

    Check in and room review

Resort renovations should be completed by April / 26 so recommendation is to pay for upgrade to get already renovated rooms. Worth it. We had a wonderful room and experience. The grounds are in great shape around pool and beach area. Sara at check in was a breath of fresh air and made 2 exhausted and well travelled guests feel valued.

DONT BE FOOLED. Pictures look WAY better than what it is in reality! CONSTRUCTION!!

DONT BE FOOLED!! My family and i chose to celebrate the Christmas season here for something special - we were SO disappointed. First and most disappointing is that the resort is under SIGNIFICANT construction and they dont tell you that on their web site or booking yet still charge a high price for the stay not discounted for the inconvenience. So it looks nothing like the photos! Ha! Inconvenience- the beautiful lobby and walk thru you see on the web site that actually sold me on the property is all plywood walled off very tacky. The "office" is in a small side meeting room with metal desks. You have to go there for all your needs even to get towels. Because there is no lobby you have to walk down a dingy hallway to an elevator, up the elevator to another floor, walk down a hallway to another elevator, then down the elevator to the original floor then down hallways to get to your room. Imagine doing that each time you came and went and when you tote your luggage. The bellman who took our luggage the 1st and only time made sure we knew how big an inconvenience we were to him having a beachfront room at the end of the property as he continuously sighed. Speaking of arrival - when i booked, i booked through expedia BECAUSE the resort told us to do that and then they would match expedia prices. They didnt do that. Was told I'd have a queen and king room. Gave us 2 kings with SIX people and passed the buck and said corporate did it. Corporate said it was resorts fault. Neither helped. We were told the whole resort was sold out so they could accomidate yet expedia showed they had rooms. The next day corporate also confirmed we were lied to at the resort. However we had teen girls and didn't want to be separated (and have to pay more). Our room had a hole in the door to the adjoining room where a lock was supposed to be and it wasn't our family in the next room! Rooms are remodeled but small. They told us to use the sleeper sofa but it still had plastic on it and wasn't ready to be used. Waited half hour for them to come make it up but once there the maids were very quick and kind. They also advised us there were rooms available the desk told us werent. Construction everywhere. Very disappointed for the price and lack of care from employees to correct the situation. When we left we asked if they had a scale to weigh our luggage and they said yes they "think it's working". We waited 20 minutes that person never came back. We asked a second bellwoman if she could locate the scale and she said "later when I'm not busy" and walked away never to return! We weighed at the airport then. They never did correct any of our situations or show any care. "Oceanview/pool view" rooms can hardly see the ocean and beachfront there is very small. Waterslide when open - was fun. Pool looks better in pics too. Hot tub was broken. We LOVE outrigger reef in ohau - this outrigger is the worst we've ever staweren't. If in Kauai stay at the Grand Hayatt or in Hanalei - not here!

Misleading online images - under major renovation and construction. Stay elsewhere.

Ugh...what can you say. The online images are completely misleading ! The facility is under major renovation. Noisy, makeshift lobby, and a maze to get around. Employees did not seem happy, not much of an "Aloha spirit". Could be nice and a great experience when finished in several months...go someplace else for now.
