Such a wonderful resort for families with young kids! We just returned from our stay at Paradisus Playa del Carmen, and we are already missing it! We had such a wonderful time, and I really can’t say enough good things about how family-friendly this resort is. Our three-year-old absolutely loved the Aquazone and pirate ship, and we spent so much time enjoying both! One of the things I appreciated most was that we never once felt like kids weren’t welcome or that we needed to worry about our son just being a kid. He was able to play, explore, and be himself, which made the entire trip so much more enjoyable for all of us. Another really special part of the experience for him was seeing all the fish and wildlife around the resort. He loved spotting the different animals as we walked around, and it added a little bit of magic to each day! He also spent some time at the kids’ club and loved it. He even made friends from two different countries, which was so sweet! I also have to give a special thank you to our destination concierge, Cynthia Delgado! She was truly wonderful and made our stay so much easier. We needed a rollaway bed for our room, and she had it taken care of right away. We also needed to adjust our housekeeping times and somehow managed to change our dinner reservations nearly every day, and Cynthia was always on top of everything. She was so responsive and helpful with every request. But what really made her special was how thoughtful she was with our son. She surprised him with little gifts and treats throughout our stay, and those small gestures made each day feel extra special for him. It was so sweet and something we really appreciated! The one thing I would mention for anyone considering this resort is the beach. If having a beautiful beach where you can spend most of your day is a priority, this probably wouldn’t be my first recommendation. There was quite a bit of sargassum during our stay, and heavy machinery was being used to try to manage it. That said, it really didn’t affect our experience because we weren’t planning to spend much time at the beach anyway. We were perfectly happy spending our days swimming, exploring the resort, and enjoying everything else it had to offer. The food was great, too! We especially enjoyed Cielo. Traveling with a young child isn’t always easy, but Paradisus made it feel like a vacation for all three of us. We made so many wonderful memories, and it was such a fun and special trip for our family. We would absolutely love to return someday!!!

The staff keeps us coming back!
My family of 4 has come to Paradisus for many years. We started on the family side when our girls were young, and now stay the adult side, La Perla, but we utilize both sides during our vacation. We have been to other all-inclusives, but none have a staff as friendly and attentive as this resort. We love that there are so many different restaurants to choose from, we love the coffee shops, and the ice cream shop is top notch. There are so many pools and lounge spaces to choose from. There is a main pool on each side that has water exercise classes, games/activities, and we loved the French DJ at the La Perla pool every day. There's loads of activities to do, like morning yoga, dance classes, beach volleyball, crafts, etc. There's always something to do or plenty of quiet places just to relax. The Reserve upgrade makes us feel special with exclusive restaurants and pools and a concierge that is available to take care of anything you want. We enjoy taking walks down the beach to the left where there is crystal clear water. We loved dancing at the Latin Night and enjoyed the Lion King show. The gym just had a total upgrade and has anything you need to get a good workout in. Make sure you go to the M bar for the best pre-dinner drink. We love coming here for a total reset- we know we will be well taken care of by the staff every time we visit. A few thanks to staff that really went out of there way to make our stay the best... Christopher, the pool concierge, made sure we had anything we needed and set our chairs up as soon as we showed up in the morning. Carlos, our Reserve concierge remembered anything we mentioned and made it happen, including a daily mimosa delivery and so many thoughtful gestures for our family. Laura C at the front desk for all she does Rebecca, the manager at Capella is the best restaurant manager there Jesus worked so hard around the pool everyday Jose at Tokimeku gave us the most entertaining hibachi experience Wendy, Antonio, and Ariadna are the best at Sante Miguel and Minerva gave incredible service at Tokimeku Fransisco at Lemon Fish was one of the best waiters we've had at the resort

Currently one week in to a two week stay. Nature view rooms literally look over a restaurant, terrible. Service around the pool is very poor. They make you go to a ‘sales’ pitch where they want nearly £500 a month off you for 5 years and don’t take no for an answer. They shut the buffet restaurant with no warning, which is the only restaurant with AC. There is renovation work going on around the pool so you can hear drilling and smell paint all day. Most restaurants are adults only. In our experience this is not a 5 star, more like a below average 4 star in Europe. Everything is an extra price even though it’s sold as an all inclusive. We are on our honeymoon and would not even know it. Would not recommend.

A true Paradise!
Paradisus La Perla is the place to be. We would like to thank all of the staff that made our stay special. Great family resort
We had a great time at Paradisus Playa Del Carmen . It's a perfect family resort with a ton of activities for kids! The kids club was great as well as the nightly shows. Paola, with family conceirge, was excellent and helped us with dinner reservations and anything else we needed!
