Dec 10, 2025Best Resort in Playa Del Carmen
This is our second year in a row coming to this location. Place is very clean, food is great everywhere you eat. Employees are kind and always acknowledge you and they try to go above and beyond always. Our Consierge Jorge Hernandez Was our consierge last year as well. He’s the best he took care of us this year as well. I highly recommend requesting Jorge Hernandez as a consierge he will make you feel like family. Thank you!!

Dec 09, 2025Overall good but lacking in some areas
We travelled here as a family of 6, two grandparents, two adults and two kids (7 and 4). We booked the two bedroom suite, and honestly, this was the selling feature for me when I was choosing the resort. This room is huge, tons of space for all of us. No complaints here, loved the room! Our kids loved the waterpark and pirate ship pool, we spent most of our time at these two places. The beach was a bit disappointing. It is clean, they do a really great job of cleaning up the sargassum every day. But there was a lot in the water which deterred our kids from going in (they normally love the ocean). We also saw/heard a few different people get stung by jellyfish. So we ended up not spending much time on the beach. The little cenote a few minutes walk down the beach was neat and the kids enjoyed playing there. The water on the adults only side was clear though. The food was really hit or miss. The buffet is small, and the food was 90% of the time cold. I read reviews stating this prior to going and thought it had to be a one-off, but it's really not. Breakfast and dinner most of the food was cold. The cappuccinos at breakfast were really good! It was really hard for us to get reservations before 8pm, maybe because we were a group of 6, I'm not sure. But that part was really disappointing considering the buffet left a lot to be desired. The Lunch Box was really good for lunch, as was Celsius, the restaurant by the pool. The ice cream shop was a hit as well. Although there were aspects of this resort that we really liked, we won't be back.

Lovely family get away
Spent a week here with my Husband and daughter in a FC swim up suite. Room itself was comfortable (great AC!) and fed into the main pool. We aren’t afternoon nappers so this was great for us to be part of the action. Music got loud around noon and stayed loud until around 430. If you have afternoon nappers around this area. Beach was beautiful, well tended to and drink service was great. Food was tasty. We enjoyed every dinner we had and were consistently surprised at how great the quality was (we haven’t had the best AI experiences in the past). Service in the restaurants was inconsistent. We had a few gems, Nelson in Capella specifically and the staff for the Teppanyaki experience were wonderful. We also found service really struggled when faced with busier moments. Finding food around the 3-5pm mark was tricky as the grill was slowing down and room service took FOREVER. Plan ahead and this won’t be a problem. Pools were good. Nothing to complain about here but they are smaller than some of the mega resorts is that’s what your used to. We paid for the FC experience and it was worth every penny. We were assigned Carlos and he was lovely. Gave us a tour around the resort and our room, booked our reservations, arranged the FC cenote trip for us and kept our room fully stocked with our preferred drinks and snacks. Along with a personal concierge you have access to the special beach area (beside the bar and bathrooms), special pool, lunchbox restaurant and late check out (1pm) Would we return? Absolutely with some exceptions. This resort is perfect for kiddos 0-10. Older kids might be bored as most of the activities are catered to the younger kids including the evening shows. They totally get that this vacation is for both kids and adults. That said….. travelling without kids? Do not book the family side! Overall a great trip. :)

Great property, great food, good drinks
The staff were excellent especially after I had to go to the hospital for a few days. Shaira and Julio were particularly wonderful. I would certainly return to the resort. The staff were among the best I have encountered at any resort that I have visited (and I have been to quite a number).

It is a wonderful restaurant, everyone should try it!
Carlos Chan and capital Victor are so great great, Lemon fish is the best on the resorts. We love it ! The food is as Fantastic and delicious.
