Great but could be better
We were here in March, and the quality of the resort was WAY better back then. Food quality is not the same, some bartenders would give us attitude when ordering drinks for a lot of people, and the activities are not all there. Other than that, our concierges Laura Martinez and Ameth Cruz have been more than helpful to us on our trip. They are amazing and have provided so much for us. Sharem and Paulina are also amazing workers that help us near the pool, getting us whatever we need. They are also amazing!

Stay far away from this resort.
We came to Planet Hollywood for my husband’s birthday. I didn’t really read reviews until after I booked our stay. I really regret not doing my research prior to booking this trip. Let’s start from the beginning, check in was a breeze. We have booked a swim up room on the adult side, we got building 15 which seems to get a lot of sun which I was very happy about. The room Upon entering our room we got hit with a very foul mildew/mold smell. I understand it’s tropical and it’s humid but I’ve been to other resorts and I had never smelled anything like this. We did order a humidifier from the app and they brought it and set it up within minutes. It helped a bit with the smell but it was still a punch to the face every time we walked in. We start inspecting the room and everything seemed fine, until we get to the restroom. The shower bench had rust or I’m not even sure exactly what it was but it was disgusting. The room just had a lot of cosmetic issues for it being such a new resort. The bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were the flattest pillows I have ever used. I ended up ordering a total of eight more pillows to have some decent support. Unfortunately we couldn’t really use the swim up because it was so cold and the pools aren’t heated (which I know it’s not on the resort). The food The food was like cafeteria food almost everywhere we went. Nothing really seemed remarkable or memorable. Luckily we really didn’t struggle with making reservations or getting into restaurants since it was just the two of us. I did want to do one of those themed dinners but never could get a reservation for that. We mostly ate at the buffet because it was easier and convenient. We did notice some of the restaurants will take forever to bring out our food, the longest we waited was 1 hour for basic fish and shrimp tacos. The restaurant didn’t seem so full so I still don’t understand what exactly caused the delay. The service The whole week we were there we only got good service from a server at the guys burgers restaurant, the beach bartender and a lady at the buffet the last day we were there. I would notice we would get completely different service from the same server that was serving the table next to us. They would be very attentive and happy to serve the table next to us and come serve us and it was just dry and matter of fact. We always tipped well and were respectful but by the end of the trip I couldn’t even fake a smile for the horrible service. Overall I regret spending our hard earned money at this resort . It’s not all inclusive by any means, everything you would want to try comes at an upcharge. This seemed like the vacation from hell. From the horrible smell in the room, being up charged for everything, the cold pools, the bland food and the horrible service we received. We were counting down the minutes to leave this hotel! So please do yourself a favor save a little more money and take yourself and your family to a better place.

The I do crew
Andrew and Fernandez made our experience at the pool very enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back. The Planet Hollywood staff has been so nice and welcoming and the wedding we attended this weekend was absolutely beautiful.

Great time, something for everyone!
We decided on Planet Hollywood as our family vacation spot this year. We were on the adults side and had an amazing time. Probably one of the best beaches I have experienced in Mexico. The room was very nice and most important, the bed was super comfy. The fridge was re stocked everyday and our maid did a great job cleaning. We had breakfast everyday at the adult side and ate at every restaurant with the exception of Sutra. We had zero complaints, food and staff were excellent. Same with all the bars, drinks and staff were amazing. Shout out to "Superman" at the pool bar. He always a huge smile and right on with the drinks. The Gym was the best equipped resort gym I have been to, very nice and again, so was the staff. Although there is a ton of things to do on the family side, which we took advantage of, I would like to see a few activities available on the adult side. The addition of a couple of cornhole boards would of been nice. All in all, we had a great time at Planet Hollywood and would highly recommend it.

Horrible experience
The worst resort I have ever been to, completely paid for this trip in August and when we arrived in November they did not have our room, downgraded with NO discount. The food is HORRIBLE, entertainment VERY disappointing and don't even try to get a reservation at one of their restaurants!!!!!
