  Star class Marriott Elite

  Yeraly is amazing, very attentive and responsive. The entire team here made my experience absolutely amazing. The location is great, and the rooms are clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend this establishment and suggest doing star class if you really want top of the line service.

  Star class service

  Yeraly was great at the star class pool. He always has a smile of his face and hustles around for the guest. Took care of me when i needed extra help. He is very attentive to the guest. The star class pool is calm has special access to its own var and the food truck for snacks.

  HORRIBLE Mexian Restaurant

  I gave A 1 star for The Mexican Restaurant if I could gice zero I would. The resort in itself it not 1 star. This was our first time visiting Costa Rica, it is A beautiful country. Planet Hollywood staff was very friendly, our rooms was always nice and clean. The resort it itself is very nice. I have one complaints and that's with the Mexican restaurant HORRIBLE. The staff was rude especially the manager. We had to wait A hour and A half for our food. Our waitress only took half our table drink order (there was 6 of us) we had to get her attention so we can get something to drink. When I went to speak to the manager he was very rude. When I told him I speak Spanish his whole demeanor changed and he wanted to speak to me in Spanish (he speaks very good English). Everyone should be treated the same whether the person speaks English or Spanish. The Hibachi and Steakhouse was AWESOME especially the steakhouse (Thank you). I hope the staff at the Mexican restaurant learn to be nicer to Guest ESPECIALLY if the Guest are nice and respectful to them.

  20+ Bugs in Our Bed — Planet Hollywood Never Made It Right

  I would strongly caution anyone considering staying at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica to read the recent reviews and know what you could potentially be walking into. I initially tried to handle my experience privately and professionally by filing a formal complaint with management and giving the resort an opportunity to address what happened. They ultimately did nothing meaningful to resolve the situation or compensate us, so I feel future guests deserve to know about our experience. We stayed here for a destination wedding, and during our stay we dealt with an unacceptable number of issues. The worst happened on day two. We got back to our room late after wedding festivities and found more than 20 bugs crawling all over our pillows, bedding, and bed area. What made this even more disturbing was realizing we had already spent an entire night sleeping in that bed. We have no idea what may have been there the night before that we simply didn’t notice. We also encountered other pests in the room during the stay, including a lizard, spider, and large cricket. When we reported the bugs in the bed, the resort was supposedly fully booked, so we could not be moved. Maintenance changed the bedding, but there was no manager available to actually address the situation. We were given conflicting explanations about what the bugs were, first being told they were “common,” then that they were not bed bugs, and later being told they were cockroaches. Regardless of what species they were, guests should not be expected to sleep in a bed with dozens of insects crawling around them. This happened the night before the wedding, and I barely slept afterward. I was part of the wedding party, so instead of being able to enjoy such an important day, I was exhausted and extremely uncomfortable after what had happened in our room. For a resort that markets itself for destination weddings and luxury vacations, I found the response completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, the room was not our only disappointment. The food was consistently underwhelming, and even something as basic as the television selection was frustrating. There were very limited English-language channels, which became especially noticeable when we were spending more time in the room than anticipated. Overall, the resort simply did not live up to the experience or quality we expected based on how it is marketed. What bothers me most is that I did not immediately run online to leave a negative review. I contacted management, documented what happened, filed a complaint, and gave Planet Hollywood an opportunity to make the situation right. They chose not to meaningfully resolve it or offer compensation. In fact, they denied any report of this happening and essentially gas lit me. At this point, I am leaving this review so future guests can make an informed decision. You are spending a significant amount of money to travel internationally and stay at an all-inclusive resort, and you deserve to know that our experience included numerous bugs and pests in our room and bedding, disappointing food, limited television options, and a management response that left us feeling completely dismissed. I genuinely wish the resort had handled this differently because I would have preferred for this to be resolved privately. Since it wasn’t, I can only share exactly what we experienced and let future guests decide whether they are comfortable taking that risk. *I have many videos of the bugs. Only a few photos of them but I screenshotted some of the videos. I have many more examples (videos) I could screenshot as well but you get the point*
