Mixed bag . Problems easily fixed but will they
This is gna be a bit of a mixed bag. The food is really quite good in the speciality restaurants are really quite good, and buffet is decent for breakfast. There are shows at night which again are fairly decent for hotel standards. Entertainment staff are very good , lots of energy, friendly and engaging. BUT bar staff at the swim up bar and 24 hour bar were on the whole stuck on one pace which was slow, with no hustle, despite only one or sometimes two of them working the whole bar. The rooms are very very nice, has both a shower AND a bath [separate] which is quite rare and a nice touch. There are a number of things though that really annoyed me There is free WiFi , great . There is also a paid higher speed WiFi at 16 dollars for a week. Seriously you're supposed to be a luxury resort, why are you nickel and diming. Just roll out the high speed out for the whole hotel it makes you look cheap, and so 1990s charging for it Next is the fact you can't take food anywhere outside the buffet at nights . If you are talking with people at the bar and get the munchies but don't wanna stop the chat you can't go get a burger and take it out with you. Why not. Or wanna head back to the room watch TV , read your book and unwind, but can't take food with you . There is room service but it takes over an hour for it to arrive , when you want it now. Why is it so hard to provide paper or plastic plates to take it with you . You know when you want it and where you want to have it , it also doesn't take someone way from doing another job for someone else. Lastly this is an adult only that feels like a family resort. On the complex there is a family resort that there are shuttles to take you back and forth which is great , however the adults should not have to go to the family resort to find a decent atmosphere and night fun . The adults should be wanting to come to the adults only hotel to come party. The family hotel has a sports bar that you can get food on there with pool tables and poker tables music playing and a club open til 1. The 24 hour bar on the adults side has no music the bar , you would be able to hear the crickets there if there were any. The hotels at night are totally backwards. So many of the negatives in this review are easily fixed, but idk if they will. But again must say entertainment staff were great, even during a really heavy rain shower they continued on the pool side to do the aqua aerobics. That is true dedication to the job. Most hotels would be nope let's give this one up. And people like my friend Ali did it with them to support them , while the rest watched from the bar. Give them all a raise

PYP is a fun, easy place to stay.
Our 4th time staying at PYP. Always have a swim out room adjoining the party pool. We love the games, activities and cocktails at the pool, especially Saturday's foam party. The pool and bar staff are SO nice and always go the extra mile to make our stay memorable. The resort is never too busy, beach is very nice they do a good job with the seaweed removal. The food at the beach club is very good some of my favourite. PYP has been a fun place to stay (always meet great people) and is consistently a good value. Would recommend it.

Awesome 5* wonderful mother and daughter get-away!
Absolutely awesome resort, travelled with my daughter for her 30th birthday. We received a cake in our room when we arrived along with 3 small bottles of tequila and vodka. The resort is clean, our room was modern and very comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor of the 3rd building, overlooking the party pool. Love the way the shower is separate from the bathroom, makes for 2 girls getting ready together very easy. The food was delicious at all the a la cartes and the buffet. The drinks were always made exactly how we like them. Fernando at the pool bar is just the best! Our bellhop Enrique goes above and beyond the customer's expectations. Always a hola when you walk by and a smile each day plus "is there anything I can get you" even though you have everything you need. Will definitely recommend and return. Thanks for making a 30th birthday mother and daughter trip phenomenal.

Excellent Service, Excellent Food, Excellent Entertainment, Excellent Atmosphere, altogether an Excellent resort.
The Platinum Yucatan Princess is the secret of the Rivera Maya. From the moment you step onto the property, you’re welcomed by extremely knowledgeable staff that expedite the check in process and have you experiencing the delights of the Princess resort and spa. The rooms are very spacious with a double shower and bathtub. Twin vanities and a large balcony (or a swim out) which is an amazing addition to your vacation. With my work schedule I’m awake at very strange times and this is where the Princess shines; with food options available 24 hours a day in various forms. The buffet has a huge selection of breakfast and lunch items for every taste. For dinner they offer a different themed night from Italian to Caribbean and everything in between. They offer a carving station as well as making pasta dishes to order. There are main four restaurants for sit down full service, an Asian, Italian, French and a Steakhouse. All offer an experience suitable for everyone’s tastes. (I love the rib eye at the steakhouse) There’s also a beach bar grill that has the best ribs as well as a cold bar section with Ceviche you truly have to try. The beach has plenty of loungers with bar service passing by constantly. This on top of the main beach bar and washroom facilities. The hotel has two main pools with swim up service as well as four swim out pools for each of the four buildings. Again bar service is available for all swim outs. A major plus when you just want to chill at your swim out. Of the two pools, one is very lively with all day entertainment and the other is more a chill out pool amongst friends. The entertainment team go above and beyond for there guests from a full sports park to foam party’s to casino nights. You name it, it happens daily here. There’s live bands and a true gem, nightly broadway style productions of various shows. Something not to be missed. The bar staff are so knowledgeable and can make anything from an amazing Latte or expresso martini in the plaza bar, to a margarita or cocktail at the pools. There’s a nightclub and even a 24 hour bar. There is a full spa onside offering guests everything you could wish for, including a full Mayan Spa Experience. (A must) The choice is endless, and if that’s not enough, as guests of the Platinum Yucatan Princess, you have full access to both the sister resort’s amenities next door. When thinking the Rivera Maya, Think the Platinum Yucatan Princess, You won’t be disappointed.

Fun, Roudy and Delicious
My partner and I landed in Mexico in September last year after spending the month travelling around the USA and what a bang of a week we had. Day 1, we met some of the most incredible people who were our family for the entire week !!! Waking up and seeing the absolute best entertainment staff packed with energy ready for the day. A huge shoutout to Luna, Rhamas, Malu, Dulce and every single staff that made sure we felt right at home. A smaller resort compared to others but we were all one big family and it was the best week to end our USA trip !!!!! I would 1000% recommend this resort !!! and they make a decent grasshopper cocktail too !!! ☺️☺️
