  Resort after 37 years

  The best experience in this resort was Angelica who took care of our room. She was friendly and very helpful. Always smiling and kept our room spotless. Hotel was just ok. All inclusive has changed. Now all you get are the basics and anything special costs lots more money. The beach was nice and staff was incredible helping with lounge chairs and tables. Food was hardly worth mentioning. We came here 37 years ago with family and returned with them too see how things have changes. Some good others no so good.

  Don't stay here - you can do better

  1) location is in the heart of zona romantica: lots of restaurant options, but continuous steam of hawkers every 15 seconds on the beach (friendly but constant) 2) location also means hotel security needed on both street and beach entrances to prevent unauthorized access/theft 3) front desk and concierge staff are rude and dismissive (we regret not paying attention to comments about this in other reviews) 4) worst of all, room smelled dank and had ++ mold growing on the ceiling. Gross You can do better - we would not come back and would not recommend it to anyone

  A major, major, let down,

  Where to start. The room they gave me was simply put awful. The front desk was simply put awful. Why can they have somebody at the desk that can speak some English considering most of your guest are from Canada and the USA? There was one desk person working at night was a real blank! After going to the first room the toilet did not work a perfect start and the smell was beyond terrible. There is no way I was staying in the room no way!!. The front desk tried to tell me that was a superior room or as they said standard room and superior are the same that was laughable. I finally got another room which was better so I thought, In the morning I found dirty under ware in the closet perfect start, The back door handle was broken so if you shake the door it opens. Great security for a person by themselves. I had to put a chair they to keep myself safe. Told the desk and it took three days to fix it. Next not a remote control for the TV. SAME THING YOU WAIT. What is with the washing machine you have running it at 10 pm the noise and banging from it was insane that is no joke . The location is good. Your drinks like most of PV are way over priced. People just walk down the street and buy their beer there. When did your beer become more expensive than that at home. I hated the sellers bothering you as you try to enjoy the breakfast and the great view. Next is the pool great warm pool but when people get up at 6 m to grab the chairs and never sit in them is wrong. I seen this first hand. Chairs with towels and nobody using them. Over all I would not stay there again the reasoning is the room that they give you is a gamble. THE OWNERS ARE NOT PUTTING ANY EFFORT TOO UPGRADE THOSE ROOMS. I have read lots of reviews and they are so right. It make me wonder is anybody really interested in the condition of the hotel. What will it take a empty hotel to get things fix?? Its coming Over priced poor third world rooms. Beware when booking you room

  Great location... not too crowded in January

  Location was great, albeit a bit loud with traffic etc. The pools were very warm. The restaurant was decent and the beach was well appropriated. Onsite bar was good for daytime happy hours etc.
