I don’t really understand the rave reviews
We had high hopes given the price point and alll the great reviews but feel no desire to return. First it’s old. Very old. Very dated. Lots of old chipped paint and old walkways. There’s some charm but really a five star hotel shouldn’t look like this… and yes I get it’s Mexico. Portions are very updated but you’ll be reminded around every corner how old the property is…. The pools are nice. Especially the adult only pool. The hot tub was way too cold. Towels and chairs are plentiful. Service is…. Ok... Not amazing generally fine. NOT five star and not even close. I think the weekend manager doesnt give a poop because service got much better during the week. We had to repeat many requests. Our room was clean but also had some bugs. No bathrobes until our third night. No coffee pod refills unless you beg. No minibar in room unless you count two cans of soft drinks. No bottled water refill until third night, etc. Just lots and lots of missed details. Restaurant waiters during breakfast in particular do bare minimum. You’ll have to ask for everything (sometimes repeatedly) during breakfast unless a manager is nearby. Other servers at other restaurants were better. Beach service was rediculously slow so we didn’t order much. Bell services is borderline rude (they won’t even try to carry your bag up the stairs in the lobby unless you ask and it’s clear your going to tip). Check in staff will try anything to upsell you and they have a zillion room categories exactly for that purpose. Everything is negotiable so keep that in mind if you want a better room… Food was adequate. The breakfast buffet was almost uniformly cold. Omelets pretty good. Apparently there is a secret menu of cooked to order food like avocado toast available so keep that in mind… The Italian restaurant was a half step above Olive Garden and the 2nd beachfront restaurant (not the palapa) was actually pretty tasty. The location is nice especially if you want to scuba as the marina is next door. However we prefer the north hotel zone and will revert to Playa Azul and the Westin when we return to Cozumel. Overall a decent time but we won’t return. There are far better options…

Gorgeous and welcoming hotel- top notch stay
This hotel was beautiful and welcoming. We were traveling with our college aged daughter. We loved the snorkeling in the crystal clear warm water with tons of colorful fish, the beautiful infinity pool and jacuzzi, the beachside service, the gorgeous restaurants, fantastic breakfast with many options, beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the ocean, the layout of the resort which did not feel crowded, and the friendly staff. Very well designed resort and top notch service. We loved it and didn't want to leave. We took a cab one night into town for dinner to Kondesa. Cabs were easy to get and about a $10 cab ride into town. We did not get to the tennis court, free bikes, or kayak during our stay because we ran out of time.

Loved our stay in Cozumel. We will be back!
The beach was peaceful and the service was consistently professional and friendly. Even during the busy early January season, the resort never felt crowded; we always found available loungers at both the beach and the pool. The shore snorkeling directly from the hotel is a huge plus. We enjoyed all our meals, specifically at Le Cap Beach Club and Faro Blanco. Our Premium Ocean View room with two queens was spacious and comfortable. While the hotel is older, it is very clean and well-kept, so it doesn't feel dated. Although we paid a premium for our stay, the overall experience and atmosphere were well worth it. We will definitely return.

Amazing hotel. Will come back.
Amazing hotel in a beautiful location! We spent 4 nights here with my wife and 3 yo kid, and we had a great time. Our room was incredibly nice and clean, beautifully set up, with an awesome deck overlooking one of the pools. The bathroom and shower are fantastic. The pools (all heated to just the right temperature), hot tub, and the small beach in front of them are just delicious. The water on the beach is crystal clear and full of colorful fish that swim around you unafraid. The food in the various restaurants is good, and the food and drink service at the pool and beach are great. Our kid had a blast in the pool and at the beach. We did two snorkeling trips with the company that is inside the hotel (Scuba Du) that rank among the top we have done - the only snorkeling that is better than this was at Roatán in Honduras. The staff at Scuba Du were fantastic. We'll definitely come back.

My experience was good! Liked having non-alcoholic pina coladas or any non-alcoholic drink by the pool:)
My stay was great! I enjoyed doing activities with Angel, Viviana and Kery! The staff was very helpful if me or my sister needed help! I was there December 27th- January 3rd!
