Stayed at Blanco but visited Rosé & Sunset
Context: Family of 5 with 2 adults and children 9, 5, 3 yrs old. We stayed at Blanco, but am sharing details of all 3 hotels since we explored all 3 during our 6 night stay at Blanco. Blanco: - Grounds: Kids loved the flamingo, iguanas, fish, and birds to admire, view is beautiful of the beach/bay - Lobby: Lovely with a gorgeous Christmas tree - they pumped in a scented fragrance which was quite nice!- Room: Expected it to look really outdated/old but it was actually quite nice and comfortable, loved the patio to overlook the pool area/bay. Was able to watch multiple firework sets on Saturday night. Toilet required holding down button to flush properly but everything else was good. Kitchenette/fridge was helpful. TV in bedroom and living area. Appreciated the safe in the closet to store valuables. - TV: US channels available which was nice when kids were wiped out from beach/pool. Also able to watch some key US American football games. - Pool: Circular with waterfalls that kids enjoyed, smaller than Rosé pool. Water was cold but since it was pretty warm during my stay, it was fine. No jacuzzi on-site. Lounge chairs were comfortable. - Beach: Peddlers did stop by but were not THAT aggressive (especially if you are closer to the water) - just had to keep saying no thank you. If you need inflatables, hair braids, blankets, sunglasses, umbrella, it is a convenient option. Sand is pretty grainy, but beach was still beautiful. Water is definitely swimmable, but we didn't brave the water - just mostly played in the sand. Water shower stations are by the stairs to the beach to clean off the sand from your body/feet. Area was roped off for hotel lounge chairs (to likely prevent peddlers from coming closer), but since we mainly were closer to the water, we didn't use the chairs. - Concierge: Needed to stop by to make reservations for Cilantros restaurant, not that helpful with understanding activities, etc. except to just give out brochures, but appreciated that he wasn't pushy.- Activities: Husband/son engaged in the card game activities and won a visor, but a good break from pool activities. - Timeshare: Since we arrived late evening from airport, was not hounded like previous reviews had mentioned. Otherwise rest of trip, they just had a table in lobby and didn't bother us. - Tipping: We brought a lot of cash just for tipping, but it was unclear when we should tip and so we felt like we should just tip all the time (e.g. restaurants, drivers, servers by pool, etc.) Employees seemed to appreciate and were gracious about it except at one restaurant Cilantros where the waitress seemed upset by our paltry amount! Since we were all inclusive and had the wristband to tag-in, we felt like we had to carry cash for the sole purpose of tipping throughout the day. In some instances we forgot or didn't have enough! - Room service: Took ~ 40 min and food was tasty! Kids liked the pizza and pasta!- Paloma: Breakfast was quite good! Nice option if you have time. Only annoying thing was what to do with leftover food/plates. Felt weird to leave it outside for the birds to attack - Cilantro: Only restaurant that required reservation that would also allow our young children. Food was tasty.XXX- Couldn't try any of the fine dining because we had kids under 8 yrs old as many required no kids under 16 or 8 yrs old - Bill: Had no issues with bill but made sure to never give our credit card so only had to pay for the suggested donation and got rest of deposit back. - Airport Shuttle: Did not use hotel shuttle, but booked Happy Transfer Los Cabos, cost $170 (excludes tip) round trip to support our family of 5. Very seamless process and was cheaper than hotel shuttle (since we had more people) - Family photos: We also took family photos with GV Photography at Monument beach (15 min taxi ride) which turned out great! Rosé: - Grounds: Water fountains and statues to admire. Many bathrooms available. - Pool: Larger than Blanco pool, had more low depth areas for young kids, enjoyed the water yoga/jazzercise, jacuzzi is not heated, but a deep circular pool with no seats, just very deep. - Shuttle: Big bus to Sunset Beach left every hour and required a ticket reservation to make sure you had a seat (will allow standby if seats available!). Ride each way was roughly 20 minutes and was comfortable. Great to go through downtown and see areas outside of the resort (through the window) - Mare Nostrum Buffet: Asian theme at 8:30 pm, not so good - might have been better if fresh but we were ravenous coming from the airport from a delayed flight. Great option when you are more of a rush. Sunday brunch was the exact opposite and very good with omelette station, many food options, pastries, etc. Argentina night looked delicious too so we stopped there for another late night snack. However by end of our trip we mainly we avoided buffet since mostly same food and opted for other property restaurants - Sunset Sushi: Beautiful view on beach, food was not bad, but definitely saucy, our one spot to get ice cream for kids Sunset: - Grounds: Very hilly, huge, multiple pools, modern, but requires gas golfcarts driven by employees to get around (gas smell from carts in most pathways). - Pools: Our kids enjoyed the kid-pool where they felt more comfortable with the shallow circular pool and diving for toys. Also only property that has jacuzzis. Enjoyed the kid pool and Sky pool. - KidsZone: $45 for half day, $25 per activity - when asked activities, it was pool time, building a Christmas card, then watching Frozen movie. We opted against it and just enjoyed the pool. - Food: Overall Sunset Beach had the best food options and quality, as a result we thought it was worth the bus ride from Rosé for dinner/gelato a couple of nights since many of the fine dining options were not an option with kids <16 yrs old and that left buffet, sunset - Marketplace at Quivera: Can get very busy but loved the gelato place and several food options. Seating could be difficult and wait time for food was long (since they have to search for you number place card), but if you aren't in a rush/super hungry, it was enjoyable. - Tuzuna Restaurant: Had several gluten free options which was wonderful for my son with allergies. Employees were very helpful to be careful about what they served to my son, which was very much appreciated. Also very gracious with giving us extra cherries, seaweed, etc. for my kids who are picky and difficult about food. Overall a very lovely trip!

Disappointing Experience at Pueblo Bonito Blanco Los Cabos Beach Resort
Just came back from a disappointing stay at Pueblo Bonito Blanco Los Cabos Beach Resort. We were there to celebrate our 25th anniversary with friends, and it was a disaster. The check-in staff and manager were incredibly rude. The place is in terrible shape, nothing like what you’d expect for $650 a night! Our room keys didn't work; stuck outside for 3 hours. No extra towels, and at one point, there was no water in the bathroom. One of our friends had water issues too. It took forever to get anything to room like extra towels, an iron board—2 to 3 hours each time we asked. The only saving grace was the stunning location and views, but that doesn’t make up for the awful service. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Definitely not worth your money! Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. #TravelDisappointment #NeverAgain #OverpricedAndUnderdelivered

Overall, delighted with the stay
I booked this via Expedia and had a Junior suite on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and ocean. A lovely relaxing vibe to the hotel and there was always someone keeping the place clean. We opted for all-inclusive and I liked that this included room service options and I also loved the buffet restaurant next door in the Rose hotel. It served a great breakfast and evening meal and we ate there each day. Didn’t really need lunch as 2 meals a day was more than sufficient but if you did want something then that was available at other places. Didn’t like the very officious guy who came and told us that we had sat on beach loungers that were reserved for ‘Elite Club’ members and we had to move. His manner was very rude. No beach chairs for ‘standard’ guests on the beach was disappointing and I refuse to get up at the crack of dawn to lay claim to one of the loungers on the hotel property that overlooked the beach. Some staff were a little brusque which I found disappointing and given it caters for as many tourists, I was surprised that English didn’t seem to be more widely understood. But I 100% accept that this hotel is in a Spanish speaking country. The one thing I found extremely annoying was them playing loud music around the pool. One day I sat on the beach and had to give up as the music from the hotel was competing against the music coming from the property next door! The gym at Pueblo was tiny compared to the much better gym next door at the Rose but this is accessible. I was just glad another guest told me about it!

Not worth it
Our trip was Sunday-Sunday. Staff was amazing and this is the reason for the 3 stars otherwise I do feel this stay would rate lower. Our group we had multiple couples with us and all of us were sick most of the trip on and off. Even though we made a point to drink only bottled water. We are not sure if it was the food or they gave us bad water when we asked bottled. The pools were very cold until the weekend so it was miserable to swim until our last couple of days. We also had a ton of issues with not having enough seating near the pool and people reserving seats at like 6 am for the full day even though the seats would sit empty for hours at a time.
