  Yoga with Christian

  Enjoyed taking a yoga class from Christian. He is very good for beginners or experienced practioners and very technical. Beautiful location too!

  First Time In Cabo A Hit At Pacifica

  What a lovely resort complex! I can’t say a bad thing about it. It was beautifully landscaped and super clean. The pools were relaxing and luxurious. Food and drinks were plentiful and very good. Most of all the people/staff were all friendly and accommodating to a fault. We had butler service, and Alan and Israel switched off with this duty. They are like personal concierges and helped us check in, showed us the property and helped immensely with making reservations and booking a sailing trip. We communicated mostly by text, but they were responsive and eager to help. Our adult daughter came along and had her own room, and even though she didn’t technically have butler service, Alan helped her check in and find her room etc. nice touch to start off in an unfamiliar place. This is a smaller resort, only about 200 rooms, and adults only. If you’re looking for loud house music and nightclub action, go somwhere else! None of that here. This is a place for couples, family and friends to relax in luxury. We’ll definitely be back!

  Oscar is the best!!!

  Absolutely amazing, Oscar was our bartender and he was everything we could have hoped for. He kept the drinks flowing and the vibes up. We didn’t have to ask for more drinks he just brought them when we were running low. He gave us a few surprise drinks that were the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly and would highly recommend.

  Serious Cleanliness Issues. 5-Star Marketing, 2 Star Experience

  We came to Cabo expecting a relaxing, high-quality vacation. Pueblo Bonito Pacifica markets itself as a 5-star resort, but based on our experience, it is 3-star at best. The gap between how this resort markets itself and what guests actually experience is significant. The biggest concern is the cleanliness and overall condition of the property. Our room and multiple common areas have been visibly dirty and poorly maintained. We’re including photos with this review because some of these issues are difficult to convey in words, and prospective guests should be able to see the condition for themselves. Even more concerning, we both experienced food poisoning during our stay, on different days. We obviously can’t say with certainty what caused it, but the fact that both of us became sick during the trip is extremely concerning and significantly impacted our vacation. When combined with the cleanliness issues, it made us question the overall standards of the property. The dining experience hasn’t been particularly impressive either. We’ve also felt pressured to tip on meals, only to then be asked for additional tips again at checkout. Tipping should feel voluntary and be based on service — not something guests feel pressured into throughout their stay. There are also some frustrating sales practices that add to the experience. At arrival, we were told we needed to attend a “welcome orientation,” which turned out to be a high-pressure timeshare presentation. We said no, but the sales pitch continued. Less than 30 minutes later, a manager approached us at lunch to ask if we’d been asked about the timeshare and whether we were sure we didn’t want to participate. When we again declined, he continued pressing us — and when we tried to order our food, he didn’t even put the order in. The following evening, someone actually ran after us as we were leaving the restaurant to ask us to do the timeshare presentation. There have also been issues with transportation. We booked a shuttle to the downtown resort, but when we arrived for our scheduled transportation, we were told there were no shuttles available and that the resort would pay for a taxi. When we arrived, the taxi driver insisted that we pay the fare ourselves. The resort also doesn’t allow Uber drivers onto the property, leaving guests dependent on the resort’s taxis or shuttles, which are significantly more expensive. At the pool, guests are approached about a “free 5-minute massage,” which then turns into a pitch for a paid full massage. It’s another example of something presented as a guest perk becoming a sales opportunity. To be fair, Luis at breakfast and Gonzalo at the pool have been the bright spots in an otherwise truly less-than-mediocre experience. Both have been friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, great employees can’t make up for the bigger issues. A 5-star resort should not have dirty rooms and common areas, guests getting sick during their stay, disappointing food and service, pressured tipping, unexpected transportation issues, and constant attempts to turn “guest perks” into sales opportunities. The property is in a beautiful location, but the experience simply does not match the 5-star image they’re selling. In our opinion, Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is 3-star at best — and certainly not the luxury 5-star experience we paid for. We would not stay here again.
