A first class holiday in Punta Cana
We were a little worried given the number of bad reviews I'd seen about this hotel BUT having stayed there I think it's all about perspective and expectations. What we found was the hotel was lovely, well laid out, the pool and beach superb. The gardens were nothing short of stunning. The restaurants were all great, yes the portions in the a la carte restaurants are a little on the small size but we're not pigs, so it suited us. If you're still hungry you can always go to the self-service for seconds! Also the staff, well they were amazing, the wait staff are so friendly and welcoming. Reception were also very good and the maids did an amazing job, even popping in at 7:30pm to make sure everything was OK for the night. The room (in block 5): We were pleased with our room, beautifully decorated, quiet and comfy, no issues with the aircon (just turn the fan speed down to "minimum" at night!) . Bathroom was OK and yes, the toilet even worked. The balcony overlooking the pool was a bonus. The negatives: A few very minor points but worth pointing out, although I'm sure management are aware. (1) The keys cards - argh nuff said, (2) The bathroom is a bit tired, wonky shower and no hot water at times but just wait a while and it's OK again. (3) Balcony door didn't shut properly so possibly a security risk for those that worry about such things. (4) The sunbeds and towels - we've come across this issue before and it could be dealt with by saying to the guests NO PUTTING YOUR TOWELS OUT AT 6am or they'll be collected up. It was very irritating, although when in Roma....... (felt guilty about this but you have to do what you have to do). All in all, we'll give it 5 stars as it was a lovely holiday and we really enjoyed Punta Cana. We'll definitely be back before too long. Look forward to seeing all our Punta Cana Princess family again.

The Honeymoon of Our DREAMS at Punta Cana Princess
We came for our honeymoon and truly cannot say enough good things about the resort. Alexander Gomez with Guest Services took SUCH good care of us—we never went without—if you’re booking, ASK FOR HIM when you get there! He was absolutely amazing. As was the rest of the staff. Everyone at the resort was so SO friendly and accommodating. We will be back as soon as possible! ✨🩷🇩🇴

Good but some maintenance issues
Considering the affordable price we paid, the hotel lived up to expectations. The beach is great (a little seaweed on the beach but I didn't find it ruined anything). Almost a perfect beach - some waves for fun but nothing crazy. The good spots are usually taken super early in the morning (7am). The food is okay. Everything is sort of 6/10. A few standouts but mostly, OK. The a la carte restaurants are good but portions are smaller (but you could just top off at the buffet if you want). The booze is OK as well. I've only ever been to one other all-inclusive and I would literally say the exact same thing for that place. The staff are great for the most part. Friendly and willing to serve. Language can be a bit of an issue but I learned to keep my requests simple and that seemed to work. The rooms - overall - OK. The lack of maintenance on the rooms is showing. Our shower barely worked unless you ran the cold water only. The toilet would rarely finish it's job on the first flush. The patio door trim would come off when you closed the door and you can see where it had been hammered back into place frequently. None of these things would be that hard to fix properly - yet it appears that it is not being paid attention to. WIFI in our room was unusable. The key locks are magnetic and a lot of modern phone erase the cards. There is a constant lineup at the front desk of people getting there cards reprogrammed. Keep your cards away from your phone and they will last longer but this resort should update to newer tech. Would I go back? I'd probably pay more to go to a more up-to-date property but the beach is great and that's what we went for.

Average hotel
Average experience. While the animation team is excellent and provides great entertainment, the rest of the stay was disappointing. The beach was covered in seaweed that was only cleaned once. Most importantly, we encountered a serious issue today. We reserved our sunbeds with towels at 5:30 AM, but upon returning after breakfast, we discovered that a security staff member named Juan had accepted a bribe to give our reserved spots to someone else. The guest who took our spots then verbally harassed my husband. We will not be returning to this hotel.

A honeymoon to remember
My husband and I went to the Punta Cana Princess for our honeymoon in January. The service was top notch and everyone that worked there was so personable. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect honeymoon. Yes as reviews indicate the rooms are older but we didn’t mind. The cleaning staff kept everything clean. We can’t thank Miguel the concierge enough. He was amazing and if you need anything connect with him when you are there. He is the BEST!! Maria at the front desk was such a sweetheart and also very helpful. The atmosphere was so great! As it’s a smaller resort we were able to connect with many other couples and people vacationing who we hung out with and participated in the nightly entertainment with. We loved the silent disco and karaoke night! Luis the server in the buffet was wonderful. He made sure I always had my red wine and was so friendly. We loved having him as a server. The a la cartes provided a nice variety for dinner which we loved. You have access to them at the two other resorts. We enjoyed walking over to the coffee house in the morning to have espresso, cappuccino and a fresh croissant. The beach was lovely and easy to find a place to lay by the beach or the pool. We enjoyed the environment of the pool. Frank the bartender at the swim up bar was the best. Recommend having a banana mama or chunky monkey to start your day. At night we loved seeing Adrian the bartender down by the beach who made delicious espresso martinis. We appreciate everything Punta Cana Princess did to make our honeymoon one we will never forget. The special dinner at Mare Nostrum was romantic and delicious. It even included a piece of freshly made wedding cake. Not located far from the airport which was great!
