    First time in Santa Cruz.

Great place and location. Pool area very clean, staff very friendly. Rooms are recently renovated and kept very clean. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Parking easy and safe outside hotel parking area. Only complaint would be no room fridge.

We loved our stay at Quinta Bella

We came as a family and chose this property for the prime location and amenities. Perched in front of Chahue beach we had ocean views the entire time. The property has two lovely pools, and many food outlets. Our rooms were very spacious, nicely decorated and clean. There was entertainment every night. The staff was friendly and always available to help and make our stay a memorable one. We wanted to give special thanks to Daniel at the pool bar for going above and beyond to serve us. He’s a valuable asset to the property.

    Top-Notch Hotel and Location

We had a wonderful experience here. Quinta Bella is a very well-run establishment, well-maintained with lovely restaurant options sitting right on the beautiful Playa Chahue! There are many other options off-resort and easily walked to. We also enjoyed walking down to Crucecita (15 min walk) for a great Mexican town experience, more shopping, eating, and a lovely zocalo. Enjoy!

Not a 5-star hotel. No management, no accountability, and zero guest care.

We chose Quinta Bella Huatulco because it was advertised as a 5-star hotel. We booked it to relax after our wedding, traveling with a group of about 30 people (Mexicans and foreigners). Unfortunately, it turned into one of the most stressful hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the beginning, communication was chaotic. WhatsApp responses were fast—but often wrong. The only way to get accurate information was by calling. Trying to book a New Year’s Eve dinner for our group was impossible. They told us to wait until December 31st and that there was no guarantee of availability. Obviously, we had to book elsewhere. At check-in, things already went wrong: two of our guests were given room keys to rooms that were already occupied. This happened twice. Imagine walking into a room and finding strangers inside. Completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a so-called 5-star one. The rooms look modern but are poorly maintained and badly designed. Mold in the sink, bathrooms flooding after showers, no space for toiletries, no towel hooks, and extremely noisy—no soundproofing at all. You can hear every step in the hallway. One of the worst incidents: Four of our friends were locked out of their room because the door reader stopped working. Staff tried to break in loudly, waking up half the hallway—and laughed when we complained about the noise. Their belongings, clothes, and medication were inside. One person was very sick. This happened after midnight. They were eventually given two replacement rooms (after a lot of arguing), but without their belongings, pajamas, or personal items. The front desk suggested they wake up at 7am to pack, even though it was already past midnight and this was 100% the hotel’s fault. Then they warned them they might be charged for late checkout. Absurd. The door wasn’t fixed until around 9:15am. When we asked for compensation, we were told: “We already gave you a room to sleep in and a late checkout.” Later they offered a 15% discount on a future stay—as if anyone from our group would ever come back. Throughout all of this, we repeatedly asked to speak to a manager. None was ever on-site. Not once. We also booked a private boat tour through the hotel for convenience and safety. It wasn’t cheap (1,250 MXN per person, 15 people). We were told it would be fully private for 6 hours. It wasn’t. We were delayed, overcrowded, our belongings got wet, and the time was not respected. While the tour coordinator was kind, there was no real solution or compensation. Overall, the problem is not just individual mistakes—it’s systemic incompetence. No leadership, no empowerment of staff, no guest-first mentality. You constantly have to fight for basic things. The only positive: the beach staff, pool staff, and housekeeping were genuinely kind and attentive. They tried their best. But front desk, management, and organization were a disaster. This hotel is massively overpriced for what it offers. We wanted peace after our wedding. Instead, we got stress, arguments, and frustration. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
