Disappointing!
As Hilton Honors members, we were especially disappointed in our vacation at this property. I don't even know where to begin. First, know that the property is old - they might have dressed it up a bit, but the rooms are still simply dated. For example, we could barely open the door to our deck because of metal deterioration. On the flip side, the door to our room was very difficult to close/lock - we had to repeatedly close it and test to make sure it was locked when we left the room. I asked for a blanket and additional pillows when we checked in - they looked and smelled like they could have been 10 years old. Only one of two elevators was working and the ice machine on our floor and the one below us were out of order for our entire stay. We soon discovered that our safe deposit box did not work, so used their virtual system to have that fixed. We also used the system to follow-up on housekeeping. So frustrating! Avoid using it if you can. Although servers in the restaurant were lovely and the view was wonderful, food and drinks were exceptionally overpriced for what you get. For example, I ordered lobster macaroni and cheese and only discovered four small pieces of lobster. My husband had a dish with beef short ribs and rice - same situation with the protein. Including one mixed drink, our tab was $125! Our room was $500+ off season for an "ocean view" room as a point of reference for anyone reading this. All that we were really able to view was a life-size chess game and the pool. Hoping that some of this information is helpful for future travelers.

Relaxing beach property
The staff made this an excellent experience. Everyone from the valet, housekeeping and front desk were very helpful and welcoming. Sister property is also available for use of guests. Nice beach and pool area and relaxing seating areas. Clean, quiet rooms with balconies.

Don’t do it-Stay at sister property Instead !
-restaurant was very good! - floor in the room had sand on it for first few days— we hadn’t been to beach. Saw cleaning people with swifters ( no wonder sand didn’t get cleaned) - asked front desk where nearest trolley pick up was ( 500 ft from hotel) —she said she didn’t know -Worst- booked $250 cabana for a Sunday (9-5) since it was an anniversary trip and husband wanted to mix watching football with pool and beach. When we got there, TV didn’t work, cabana was filthy with leaves and dirt and all we were offered were some towels to put down on chairs Then they said we could walk “only” a block to sister property, Casa Marina, and get a cabana there. That property is gorgeous!!! Wonderful service! Stay there ( my husband obviously missed the football game…)

Ayla is awesome!
Ayla helped me get set up on the beach. She was extremely personable - turns out we both love tattoos and she’s from New Orleans and went to the same college as my daughter. I appreciated her help and the chat!

Worst staff ever
Go here if you want to be profiled by the staff. The guy at the front desk ruined our whole experience. Was actively trying to do the least amount of work and insulting us when we ask questions. Will make sure that one among my friends and family even accidentally stays here. No1 has to go through this. The place says its 4 star. Feels like a 2 star. Definitely not worth the money. Everything is super old. If you ask me, it spoils the reputation of Hilton. Worst experiences I have had at any stay/ hotel / resort.
