    Beautiful beach - wonderful experience

We just spent 4 nights at the Krystal Grand Cancun in the Altitude tower. We had a fabulous experience as couples who really just want to relax on the beach at this family resort. Check in/out - Mariana and Gabriel at Concierge were amazing and helpful- remembering us each day. Check in was quick and easy in at Altitude Tower. We had an ocean from suite and the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and well stocked. We messed up the safe and needed help opening it and they were there in 5 minutes to help. Amazing. View from our room was incredible. Beach - The beach is beautiful, with calm waters right in front of the resort and if you want waves, you just have to walk down a little ways to experience fun waves. Soft sand - plenty of chairs and palapas available. With Altitude- each couple got a Bali bed for a day, so we shared and had them for two days. On the third day we just used chairs and were fine with that, as well. You can rent the Bali beds if you prefer to have one every day. Beach service was amazing and attentive - including fabulous lunch of Quesadillas, ceviche, and nachos -plus burgers and hot dogs and other options available. Wry few vendors on the beach. Shout out to Liliana and Fernando who took great care of us for food and drinks all day!! Pool - good pool options with a foam party, aerobics, Zumba and other entertainment, including an adult only infinity pool, but we are beach people so we didn’t really experience the pools. Restaurants - we really enjoyed the food and find it hard to imagine that some of the reviews here about how bad it is are even real. We ate at The Grill with great service from Alphonso. The corn soup and the mixed grill plate were very good - as well as the blue cheese mashed potatoes. We tried to eat at the Delice (Altitude only) but they were the only one that required men to be in pants, so Natalio made sure we could pivot to another option. Natalio was amazing the whole time we were there. Remembered us, chatted, and was very kind. Risotto was also amazing, as was our server Aaron. Tomato and cream soup was great! Between the 4 of us we tried all the entrees - all good!! Loved the desserts, too! Ayami Teppanyaki was so fun!! Uriel and Neftali made sure we had a good time and fabulous food. Dinner and a show all at once. The sushi they serve with it was so good!! O Buffet - we had breakfast there a couple days - good variety and quick and easy. Ernesto and Erick took good care of us! Altitude tower also has a breakfast option and Miguel was a great server. It was a calm place to enjoy a quiet meal. This was a lovely and relaxing resort for us. I do think if you stayed a LONG time you may want to explore other food options just for variety. I think Altitude was worth it for us, but I think the regular would be great for families, especially. Since we faced the ocean - we did hear the parties and coco bongos from our room at night. Didn’t bother us much - but good to know. We had much fun at the Dia de los Muertos celebration. They had trivia, bingo, dance parties and other activities as well each night. Overall - a great mid level resort that we would go back to!

    Falsely advertised hotel

This hotel is nothing like what love holidays portrays it to be! It is barely a 2star unless you are willing to pay another 2k on top of your holiday to stay in the new hotel onsite which is where most of these photos are taken from. Love holidays take no responsibility for lying about the quality of what to expect and the hotel blames them. The food is bog standard and really poor, there is hardly any choice and like everything in this hotel you need to pay extra for anything remotely decent. Avoid this hotel at all costs we are currently stuck here and would leave tomorrow if we could afford it, the only decent pool they have is not included on the all inclusive only members from the new hotel, the other two tiny pools are shaded between the buildings, we were told Mexicans get a cheap deal here so there are no others from uk or elsewhere, the beach is not exclusive to the hotel so people from everywhere fill it up and using it is at your own risk as the signs say. Lager is like water and spirits are like petrol. Do not believe any images of the hotel they are all Ai generated/altered. Extremely disappointed
