Oct 11, 2026Disappointed, skip the trip here
I saw the bad reviews, ignored them, and regret the whole trip. The resort itself is pretty and has a good concept to it but poor execution. The room had some mold, dirty furniture and a non functioning tub. The restocking of the room was not completed as advertised either. The carts to the beach and to their club area were not on a schedule and would leave you stranded in the heat. We had several times a staff member driving the cart on their rounds was on their phone and just completely drove by us. When one of the guards tried to help, we could hear the driver telling the guard to lay off and relax because he was having a smoke break. The same driver that passed us while texting came back 20 minutes later. The staff were unprofessional and made bold assumptions about who could and couldn’t speak Spanish. I could overhear them frequently talking about guests in public areas, and the things they were saying were extremely rude. The only staff member who was consistently kind and professional was one of their youngest staff members (she’s 18 and a wonderful person). The food the first few days was disgusting. It was oily and stale. The desserts were obviously not fresh. The weirdest part was that there was a complete change up in food quality when the weekend started. The food was suddenly fresh and delicious. I have no idea if they just don’t care during the week or if they just have a better chef for the weekends. I don’t appreciate that we were told there was a complimentary either food experience or spa experience, but conveniently had it left out that we were going to be trapped in a timeshare talk for at least an hour for the “gift”. I have other complaints but those are the main issues. I would never come back to this place.

The atmosphere was just beautiful. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted and immediately helped instead of waiting in a check in line. Employees remember your name and always check in with you. Shout out to ralphy who made our stay 10/10. Food was delicious and we booked a dinner on the beach. Christoper and Fernando made our dinner very special.

An excellent place to vacation
Romina and César were our people for the trip and they did an excellent job. They went above and beyond anything we could possibly hope for, my wife and I were celebrating a few different things on our trip and they made it extra special. Oh and the property was great too! - Aaron and Grace

Great place to stay and friendly staff
My wife and I had an amazing time here for our birthdays and anniversary. Romina was our concierge and she did an incredible job assisting us and scheduling things. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time.

A wonderful week at ZEL Punta Cana!
My wife and I spent the past week at ZEL Punta Cana and had a great time! Breakfast at Parada was a highlight of our stay and something we looked forward to every morning. A special thank-you to Vivian, our waitress at breakfast, for her wonderful service. She made us feel welcome and helped make our mornings extra special. Thank you to the team for a memorable week together. We would happily return!
