Oct 13, 2026Everybody speaks Spanish.They don’t know how to communicate in English.
Language is a problem. I tried to communicate with them in English but They don’t know much. It was a nice trip. Riu can improve more. Thank You!

Oct 12, 2026Worse 2 weeks ever!
Arrived back the beginning of October after a 2 week experience. Will not stay here again or at a Riu hotel after our experience here. We had a few problems that were resolved (air-con stopped working, massive cockroaches in our room) then we came back to our room after being out all day, only to find that our door was not locked. (We had locked it on leaving and always check and double check). We reported this to reception who offered no apology and just re-set both our room key cards. The hotel contacted us the day after (after I put a complaint into TUI) and they apologised and said they had checked the CCTV and no-one had entered our room. After trying 3 of the speciality restaurants over the 2 weeks (Asian, Italian & Mexican) a couple of hours afterwards I started with an upset stomach and diarrhoea on each of these occasions. The day before we came home, we saw the restaurant staff wiping and cleaning the placemats, but then placing them onto the grass outside to dry 🤮. The final straw came when I had come out of the shower and my partner was in the shower, a male stranger opened our door and walked into our room, whilst I was naked. The hotel had only a couple of days earlier said that our room door was safe and secure. The hotel staff made us feel like we were liars and were really slow and not forthcoming with apologies.

Hotel is not 5* as advertised on Tui, no overall cleanliness. Pools dirty, so dirty that it was shut on our last day. Food overall a health and safety risk, if you want bad stomach go for it. Wouldn’t be back, if you’re planning on going or have a trip booked soon beware. Best of luck to you

We absolutely loved the Riu Bambu hotel! The staff are amazing, they work really hard and really go the extra mile to make sure we had a great holiday. Also the amount of work that goes into the up keep of the resort is a lot, there’s a big team that work hard and keep the resort looking wonderful. The resort is beautiful and laid out so well. We had the most restful week in the sun, going between the beach and the pools. The food was great, drinks fantastic, I only have good things to say about the hotel. The rooms are a good size, there’s shops on site, plenty of restaurants and bars and the sports bar has snacks 24 hours a day. The cats that are in the resort are really sweet and friendly. Thank you to all the staff that work so hard, we had a wonderful holiday and would absolutely return!
