Dated and needs a little bit of help
Stayed for a week Saturday to Saturday, Staff are very friendly and somewhat attentive , mostly the maids and the Restaurant staff .pool area was very small and crowded with not enough lounge chairs.I slipped and fell and hurt myself on the slippery tile floor in front of the stage area…Inside our room the towels were very dated and brown some with holes in the washcloths. Bed was comfortable but no mattress pad on my bed and I had to have a maid come in and put one on which she did of course..Disturbed many nights because of loud people and music which sounded like it was right in our room.walls must be very thin..will not be returning to this hotel 🏨, even though Cancun is a lovely place..

Anthony’s Big 50th Birthday Celebration
This property was a great pick. The only draw back was the split beds. But I would definitely visit again.

Great stay at Riu Cancun!
We had a lot of fun at Riu Cancun in January! The hotel staff were very nice and always ready to help with anything you need. The service was fast at all bars and restaurants with plenty of drinks and food options to choose from. Rooms were cleaned daily and fridge was stocked with plenty of water. The beach was a little rocky and very wavy the week we were there. You could walk the beach to the Riu Palace which had less rocks. Sand was nice and white! The Riu parties were fun and only a short bus ride to get to. We were walking distance from this hotel to plenty of shops and bars! I would definitely return to Riu Cancun.

Very average
Hotel wasn’t bad but it wasn’t high end. The shower temps were inconsistent, water smelled like sewage, and rooms were small. Beds were firm if you like that, and also they were full size bed. In fact, it was two full size beds pushed together in one room. The food on the resort was very disappointing. It wasn’t bad but it was the most average hotel food that you could get anywhere. That includes their “special” restaurants. The Gourmet restaurant was the best of the ones they had, but we had a 2 hour wait time. The pools also closed really early. The price of the spa was literally so insane I thought I was looking at it wrong, but no, it was over $500 for a 1 hour massage. The pro’s of the resort was the staff. We always had a clean room and fresh towels. Bar tenders were great. Staff in general were nice and helpful. We needed extra housekeeping one late night, and they were very fast and very nice about it. The beach was also clean.
