We stayed for 17 nights. Everything was positive and nothing negative. We will definitely come back. Very very clean hotel.

Dec 19, 2025Not impressed and phone stolen by employee.
Honestly, I had a bad experience at the hotel. There were multiple occasions of my group being rushed out of pools 5 minutes before the supposed closing time (7pm). Then having only one choice of entertainment at the hotel in the evenings after the pool closing time. I was not impressed by the number of food options for breakfast and lunch. There was only one other food option other than the buffet for lunch and there was no other option for breakfast. I also got my phone stolen by a hotel employee. I know this because we were able to track the phone to an address in the middle of Cancun, Mexico. The address is Supermanzana 260, 77539 Cancún, Q. Roo., Mexico. Someone has to know which employee lives at that address or near that area of town. Employee addresses should be on file with the employers at the hotel. I suggest finding out who the employee is and fire them before they do it to other people (although I’m sure I’m not the first) and start getting low ratings due to safety concerns. The front desk was not helpful in doing anything productive to help. There was never any attempt to help and it wasn’t until we pushed harder that they offered to let us fill out a report. They claim there were no cameras in that area to check. At the time my phone was stolen, there were only two employees at the pool bar, a security guard and bartender. The hotel should be able to narrow down the person at the address, plus know who was on the schedule to work the pool bar at 7pm on Tuesday, December 2nd. It should not be hard for the hotel to find out that information. But they said they didn’t have access to employee addresses, which I find very hard to believe.

Come to this hotel in December as a couple, hotel very clean, good size rooms- free mini bar. Location good, beware traffic can be a problem when travelling. Good value for money. The Riu parties are fab! Found evening entertainment otherwise non existent and people just sat in the lobby. Sports bar was freezing. Nice pools, beach was lovely. A big shoutout to Israel who goes round the pool fantastic member of staff and made our holiday. Food good and several restaurants to choose from which you can just turn up to. Probably wouldn’t bring my kids here as I imagine they would get bored. Lots going on round the pools in the day.

Overall amazing experience!!
This hotel was amazing from the pools and the view to the food and the vibe. The riu parties were always so much fun. They had a swim up bar, hookah & more. There is also a 24/7 sports bar with drinks & little snacks. My only complaint is the airport transfer service. Not a clear process and I waited for over an hour at the airport (probably due to traffic) but still. Ended up getting the free transfer, but I ordered an uber when I was headed back home to avoid a hassle. I recommend !!

Amazing Hotel
Last day of a lovely 2 week holiday. If you are in doubt about booking here, do it. This is our second time and it’s a fab hotel. Food is good, drinks are good. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Beautiful beach and clean pool area / restaurants etc. Massive shout out to Israel and his drinks cart. What a lovely man. My only complaint is that the smoking policy isnt adhered to and not really policed. There are smoking areas in place around the resort but people still smoking on their loungers. It’s really not pleasant having to breathe in second hand smoke. Also some of the parasols need replacing. All in all have had a great family holiday 🥰
