The reception staff were really unhelpful and never smiled. Not worthy of a 5-star rating. First and last time. %*|😖😤

Jan 26, 2026Upgrade the bedding and it will be worth the visit.
Bedding is not comfortable, hard mattresses. Pools are fantastic, food was ok but the Steak House needs to improve on their steak option! Drink options were great and the place was very clean. I would not want to return to this resort though due to the beds being so hard. Upgrade the mattresses!

The resort is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Its just unfortunate that the food is just fair at best. the buffet had a good verity, but the food tasted bland and cheap. The restaurants were worse. Its a shame because it just ruins the trip. The best meal we had was in the airport. It does seem to be that all-inclusive trips like this often don't have great food. But the last 2 trips we took we stayed with RIU and bot times the food was the worst.

Jan 22, 2026Can't Go Wrong with this Booking if you want to spend all your time at the resort.
Overall good experience. First time staying at this resort. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Beds were comfortable. Spacious. Our room attendant, Merzedes, was excellent. (we left a daily tip to thank her) We were celebrating a birthday during our stay, and was surprised to walk into a room decorated for the occasion. The meals were good, lots of variety. nightly entertainment was good quality. Always able to find a spot at one of the 5 pools. the 2 adults pools were where you found the swim up bars. The resort was always very clean. Staff continually working to keep it that way. We liked that we could exchange our wet towels for dry ones the same day. other resorts didn't allow us to do that. Things that could be improved: 1)We weren't always given 4/5 star attention when we walked into the main dining area. sometimes had to find our own table (short of staff??). We found sitting inside was better than in the open area. In other RIU resorts, we were always greeted by a server that gave us special attention each time we entered the area. This never happened here. 2) the daily schedule of happenings around the resort were only posted in the main lobby and on the website. When we are down by the pool area, it would be nice to be able to refer to a board or something that was easy to look at. If you are wanting to do a few excursions, stay somewhere closer or south of the city. This resort is quite far from everything. We only did one for that reason.
