  NOISE NOISE NOISE ruined this.

  Why the One Star ? Bear with me. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was plentiful, varied and perfectly fine. Staff were cheerful and friendly. Beach was good, swimming pools good, plenty of availible deck chairs etc. The HUGEproblem was the nonstop thumping, pounding music from several sources from 10am until one or two am next mornings. There was only one place to get away from it - stone benches several yards outside the hotel forecourt - stone benches, no shade. Not viable for more than fifteen minutes. Ear plugs, sound machines not worth a damn at night in the bedrooms. The thumping vibrations could be felt all too easily through matress and pillows. So - absolutely no real rest, even on the beach. Then, to add to the sleep deprivation, drunks coming back from the entertainment shouting in the hallways. Oh yes - the hallways. Cavernous and echoing like you wouldn't believe. On top of that - bedroom doors have a notable gap at the frame so forget " soundproofing". I really wish I could give 5. But having entered the keyword "noise" in the review search and seeing how so many, many, many 4 and 5 star reviews have the same noise issue - well, despite the "We will address it" responses, Riu Dunamar has not. 5 stars IF you want to drink yourself into slumber and love having music blasted. Will finish with something that sounds made up but isn't. A guest with "bilateral hearing loss, two expensive hearing aids for life and can't sleep with the tremors in bed from that dam music. And if we can sense it at the back of the hotel away from it, how bloody loud does it need to the at the stage" ? Comment from a guest at next table which I absolut4concur with.

  All was good. But, you should have better entertainment, not lively enough, staff didn’t understand English….more smoking areas with shelter. The hotel is very clean, service very good. I enjoyed my stay.

  Holiday in Mexico

  Lovely place staff were really friendly and helpful . Very clean everywhere our room was lovely . Gardens were stunning and well maintained. We found the food brilliant we had read reviews where people said it was not good but we found it to be very good and plenty of choice. Eva our waitress was so lovely and helpful such a lovely person. Sports bar was really good also and Sateargo ( I’ve probably spelt that incorrectly) served us each evening he was friendly and very helpful. Not many negatives for us water pressure in the shower could have been higher but that is minor we had a brilliant stay. The beach was stunning also and staff checked if you wanted a drink regularly whilst on the beach. We have stayed in Mexico before this hotel is quite out of the way so you would need to go on organised trips if you wanted to explore. We were happy just to spend our time in the hotel and use pools and beach. Also used the gym Which was well equipped.

  Overall Rating is 4.5 out of 5 stars We had a wonderful stay at this resort and would happily come back. Everyone we met was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience feel easy and enjoyable from start to finish. A special thank you to a couple of the staff. Ricardo Morales, who was wonderful in taking care of our requests and always did so with a smile. We’d also like to thank the reception team, especially Their service really helped make our stay special. Martin Ortega Perez from the comedor department, who was always friendly, accommodating, and professional. Check-in was a breeze. Gina and Harry assisted us and were both very friendly and professional. Our room was bright, comfortable, and a great size for our family of three adults. It had a king bed and a queen sofa bed, along with an LED TV, ceiling fan, and air conditioning — everything worked well. One thing we really loved was the bathroom layout. The toilet was completely separate from the shower area, which was very convenient. There was also a double sink and a spacious walk-in shower. Both hot and cold water worked well, with good water pressure. A big shout-out to the housekeeping team because our room was spotless! Everything was clean and well maintained, and we really appreciated coming back to such a fresh and comfortable room each day. The mini fridge was also a nice surprise. It was taller than most hotel mini fridges and came fully stocked with four large bottles of water, plenty of beer, and a variety of sodas including Pepsi, 7UP, and Club Soda. The buffet always had a nice variety of food, so there was something for everyone. There were plenty of Mexican favorites like nachos and tacos, along with chicken, pork, beef, and seafood prepared in different ways. They also had steaks, sauced dishes, cooked vegetables, fresh vegetables, and plenty of other options. We never felt short of choices. We really enjoyed Las Brasas. We ordered the salmon, mixed grilled meats, and rib-eye steak. The steaks were cooked exactly as requested, while the salmon was fresh, flaky, and delicious. Our server, Fernando, was friendly, accommodating, and professional. One little tip: go early! There was no lineup when we arrived, but by the time we left, the line had gotten quite long. The Italian restaurant was a nice, comfortable, air-conditioned spot with a good selection of buffet-style appetizers, fruits, pizzas, salads, dried fruits, and desserts. The main dishes were made to order, with plenty of choices including seafood linguine, pan-fried beef pasta, salmon pasta, and chicken Alfredo. The steak was tender and juicy, and the linguine was very good. The salmon paired beautifully with the white sauce. Our server, Fray, was professional and attentive, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Kulinarium was our favorite restaurant at the resort. It was a complete upscale sit-down dining experience, and everything we tried was delicious. The appetizer was a chicken sandwich, which was tasty and a fun start to the meal. We also ordered the pumpkin soup and potato casserole, and both were excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly — soft, flaky, and paired beautifully with asparagus and caramelized onions. The steak was also cooked exactly as ordered and was soft, juicy, and full of flavor. For dessert, we had the mixed fruit bowl. It was simple and refreshing, but surprisingly, it ended up being one of our favorite desserts of the entire stay. Our server, Maria, was attentive, quick, and friendly. Overall, this was our favorite dining experience at the resort and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The beach was nice and, thankfully, had very little sargassum during our visit. That was definitely a plus! The only downside was that the beach area wasn't particularly large, so the lounge chairs were quite close to the water. It was still enjoyable, although we've visited other resorts with larger and more spacious beaches. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would give the resort 4.5 out of 5 stars. The friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, variety of food, and excellent dining experiences made it a very enjoyable vacation. What stood out most was the service. From reception to housekeeping to the restaurants, we consistently encountered staff who were friendly, professional, and willing to help. There are always a few small things that could be improved, but overall, we had a great time, ate very well, and felt well taken care of throughout our stay. A very enjoyable resort experience!
