Sep 27, 2025Mazatlan has better resorts than this one
The security guard at the swim up bar ruined this trip for our whole family. You have to be 18 to go in this pool. We had a 16 and 17 year old, The arrogant rude security guy came over and yelled out. Get out. I asked him to send management and they came and actually were much nicer. That old security guy has to go. I am also attaching a photo of the pools. The blue one is the swim up pool. The others are the green water pools. They actually smell of urine. We decided the pools were out for us. This place is disgusting. It used to be the best resort in Mazatlan. That is no longer the case. It is dirty and the staff very unfriendly. Don't waste your vacation dollars on a place that doesn't make you feel welcomed. Because of this experience I will not stay at another Rui. Rude, dirty, and zero service!! Funny it won't allow me to add the photo!!

My son and I went with some friends to Mazatlan...was my birthday while we were there...Amazing trip. Clear resort. Everyone was super friendly. Fun atmosphere. Clean big beach with lots of places to sit. The restaurants and food were super good. For the price we paid it was well worth it. Will definitely try to comeback one day!

Birthday vacation
Great hotel and location. Staff was friendly and always helpful. Hotel was beautiful. The only thing I would add is more events for adults only.

Great customer service! Several good food options. Great location! The staff provided great service. I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely return.

Best experience
This was our first trip to Mazatlán and I’m beyond satisfied for choosing RUI we are coming back. The staff: Armando, Rafael, Nancy, and Alberto were what made our experience the best!
