Great adult all-inclusive with a balance of quiet and party atmospheres.
Quick and easy check in, very clean hotel with super comfortable bed and great amenities. Adult only, but without the college-age shenanigans. Entertainment was the best we’ve experienced and we’ve been to other RIUs. Main stage acts were mostly lip-synced but the dancing was excellent and with the other stage offering a live band we could alternate, watching a little and dancing a little every night. If you really want to dance the night away, the small disco offered a techno-club feel after 11:00pm. We were pleasantly surprised to find a water slide park just for adults! Unlimited a la carte dining with no reservation required made for a relaxed evening, not having to plan ahead. Sometimes we had a bit of a wait but the pager provided allowed us to go for a drink or a walk while waiting. Italian was superb, Asian sub-par, Steakhouse good. Kulinarium was quite rich. Service at all of them was very good. Buffet offered a huge variety for all three meals and the servers were exceptional. With three pools there was always a spot to sit, in or out of the pool. We preferred the quieter pool, but if you like action, you could always find an activity going on. Beach chairs were a little more limited right on the beach, but the sandy area between the beach and resort always had chairs and hammock’s available. We especially loved walking the 2 mile stretch of beach to the sister hotel RIU Dunamar. Shout out to bartender Willy, who knew us by name, even though we only visited for about an hour a day! There was construction on the N/NE side of the hotel, but we didn’t find it bothersome as the glass doors handled most of the noise and it was only from 8:00-5:00 and not on weekends. A little construction noise vs. a little pool noise, I guess it depends on what you’ll sacrifice for a view.

Would return!
Just back from Riu Latino. TLDR: Would absolutely recommend as well as return should the opportunity come up! Note that I do not hold the resort accountable for mother nature as quite a few reviews do for some reason. "Waaah the ocean washed stuff up on the beach!!" CHECK-IN: This was quick and easy. We arrived in the early morning so the room was ready. Note that, like most resorts, rooms are not available until 3PM. ROOM: I had an ocean facing room and it was a great view! The room was spotless and as this is a fairly new resort there was no usual musty smell. The AC worked well, shower was great, and never ran out of hot water. Note that this resort does not have room service if that is your thing. The only complaint about the room was that every time you put your keycard into the slot by the door the TV would always come on playing advertisements for the resort. Maybe not a complaint - but an annoyance. FOOD: Your typical fare here: Buffets with 4 al a cartes. I didn't actually have dinner in the buffets but there looked to be your typical assortment. Something for everyone. You can get things cooked to order or pick and choose. Lots of variety. The only al a carte I wasn't a fan of was the Japanese. It was buffet style and a little dry as a result. POOLS: There are 5 pools to choose from: 2 swim up bar pools, an entertainment pool, a quieter pool, as well as the water slide pool (though not for hanging out in). The bars never got too rowdy, the entertainment team did a GREAT job of getting people up and playing games, and the slides were great fun! BEACH: Beautiful white sand but if you have some mobility issues you may struggle until you get to the water. Some have said it is a hike from the room so for older/less mobile I can see this being a problem. I don't think it was used all that much as it just was too windy to appreciate being in the water (red flags every day I was there) STAFF: The staff were super friendly! During the day they were working so hard to keep everything clean and tidy. I don't think I've ever seen a pool bathroom so clean ALL THE TIME! Amazing work, really! And like others have said, shout out to Nely at breakfast. Sweet woman! I would absolutely return to this place! Thanks for everything!

Great place to stay!
The staff was so friendly especially in the buffet. It was my birthday and they went out of their way to celebrate it with me. The food awesome and the drinks were better! The waterslides were fun at this all adult resort! The water clear as can be!

Excellent!!! More than 5*
I absolutely loved my stay at RIU Latino! The fact that it’s an adults-only hotel was a huge plus for me, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout. The location is perfect—far enough from the bustling Cancun, yet close enough to enjoy the area if you want to explore. The food was incredible—a wide variety of delicious options that exceeded my expectations every day. On top of that, the entertainment and parties organized by the hotel were outstanding, offering something fun and exciting every evening.
