Overall good stay.
Very clean apartments, however our apartment was a few mins walk from main bar and pool. Only issue I would say is ants in the room at night if someone is left in bin but I suppose happens everywhere. Great pool and entertainment also, staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Security when entering the road to hotel is amazing as no random people or anyone off the street can enter, felt safe. The bus to the beach is a great thing also. Would go back to this hotel.

small friendly hotel for mexico
A nice quiet friendly hotel with great staff foh and back which made our visit perfect thank you restaurant, bar entertainment very good with a lovely shuttle service to the beach which was only 10 mins away. The beach could do with a wee bit more TLC as the beds, tables never cleaned with the area around needing cleaned aswell?

September 24
This is the second time going to the Riu Lupita. We decided to come back again this year as we had such a lovely time last year. It’s a small hotel but very well run the staff are lovely, the food is good, you can always find something lovely to eat. The Italian restaurant is very nice. The quiet pool is a haven of peace. It’s a short trip to the beach via the shuttle bus and close to lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Highly recommend

Holiday in Paradise
We had the most amazing time at the Riu Lupita. Went with our grown up daughters (17 &22) and friends. The accommodation has everything you need, rooms were basic and a little dated but cleaned every day, beds comfy, lovely walk in shower and excellent air conditioning which you need as it’s so hot and humid. Main buffet restaurant was lovely, loads of choices even plenty for our daughter who is vegan. Staff in the restaurant are so lovely and very attentive, can’t do enough for the guests. The only a la carte restaurant we used was the Mexican one, there’s limited choices but food was delicious. Pool areas are beautiful, always plenty of beds available. We enjoyed it round the adult pool, there was usually only about 2 other people there so virtually our own private pool! Regular bus takes you down to the beach, on approach as you get off the bus and walk down the path , you see the beautiful blue sea, golden sands and blue sky, it looks like paradise! The pool at the beach was nice, RIU staff were down at the beach doing pool aerobics and dance lessons etc. beach bar is self serve for soft drinks with a bar and food just as good as up at the main restaurant. Felt like we had the best of both worlds with the hotel being slightly inland but then having our own pool and beach bar right in the beach, we really couldn’t have asked for more. Knowing that the Lupita was significantly cheaper than the other RIU hotels, I felt it was excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to come back here. Had the best holiday!! Whilst in Playa Car we would definitely recommend a trip to Xel-Ha, it’s the most incredible place for snorkeling, we saw some beautiful fish and huge stingrays, there’s a natural lazy river, huge slides and loads of areas to relax in hammocks. Its all inclusive and all the food and drink is great quality with loads of choice.

Very good time in RIU Lupita
We had a wonderful time at RIU Lupita. We enjoyed the relaxing pool and the beach. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the beach. We had no problems with transportation. The staff was always friendly. We felt like home in Mexico (we come from Brazil). They even directed us to the restaurant at night when we got back from an excursion so as we could have dinner (by the time we arrived, I would think the restaurant was closed). Two points that I think could be improved are the mattress (it hurt our back after some nights) and the reservations for the Steakhouse. For this reservation, you have to arrive early (earlier than 7 a.m) in order to get a place for dinner at the same day (you can't book in advance). I tryed it on friday, I waited in the line for about 25 minutes and in the end it was already full on my turn. I think they could have counted the number of people in the line and avoid the waiting. On saturday, I got our reservations. The dinner was pretty good, but I'm not sure if I would make the effort to book it again. It was our first experience in an All inclusive, so we didn't know what to expect, but at the end we felt like it was worthy. We would go back.
