It was the best place we have stayed. The service was top-notch! We stayed for a little over two weeks in March 2024. Event staff Bird mancrew was the best . My sons loved them and still talk about them today. Ty his birthday there. Events all day. We always had something to do. My wife loved Yoga. Some people I met who did a great job: Fitztoy, the waiter awesome job. The food was the best, of every type you can dream of. The grounds were always clean. The grounds crew does a great job. Mention a couple of names I remember. Junior and Lenworth are hard workers. Lifeguards made me feel safe to have my boys in the water. Almarick Baley and Diego- Went out of their way. My son loved the coconuts and had his side hustle.HAHAHA Scuba diving and snorkeling good times--water is really clear. Off the resort many places to go. The staff made this the best place to go. We are going to another RIU. Keep up the great work Bird-Man and staff! Eric

Wonderful Time, Excellent Resort.
Just spent a week with kids, grandkids and freinds at Ocho Rios there were 11 of us. Wife and I usually always travel to Sandals for 15 years but traveling with little ones made that a no go. We read three months of reviews, we were nervous that this hotel would not meet our standards. Let me tell you ignore the bad reviews, the food at the buffet, breakfast, lunch and dinner was phenomenal. Never before have I been excited and looked forward to meal time. I did lasagna at the Italian restaurant, was perfect, loved it, the Steak House was also a hit with all of us. We all had Oceanfront Suites, beautiful views, clean, in suite cleaning service was spot on. Beach is beautiful, great for long walks and the ocean was clear Caribbean turquoise blue. Pools were clean, not crowded, no problem with loungers being available at beach or pools. The Waterslide Park was a big hit with the I D's aged 3, 8 and 10. We loved every part of our stay and will definitely return. Don't sweat the bad reviews, some people just need something to complain about, Riu Ocho Rios is the place to go and the price point is great value.

Great hotel warm friendly staff
This hotel gets a five star rating due to the service, cleanliness and staff. The entertainment programme is the same each week. There are enthusiastic, talented and qualified entertainment staff. The place is pristeen, no sand anywhere except on the beach. The staff keep on top of everything. The food is samey but good quality and plentiful. The service from reception to backroom staff is excellent and friendly.
