  Aruba

  We had a wonderful time at riu Antilles. We loved the food. Lobster at almost every meal as well as the staff. We have only great things to say about this trip. We love adults only , however you could go next door to you palace if you chose to. Huge shoutout to Emma at the main and swim up bar pool. She was fantastic and worked her tail off everyday to make everyone happy. We loved her sweet, vivacious spirit. We also had positive interactions with Piri and manager Jorge. If you are wondering where to stay this all inclusive is wonderful

  Not for anyone.

  I was so disappointed in our stay here. When there is an issue - they truly do not care. They have your money and they don’t care about your comfort or needs. We travel often, and this was probably the worst experience we have had as far as customer service. Some specifics- It smells. There is a moisture problem here. I realize it is on the ocean, and there are wet suits and clothes, but they need to figure this one out. The rooms, the hallways. Everything smells. Don’t need anything. I got very ill during this trip. One middle of the night, I asked for cleaning supplies. Happy to clean up myself. They brought me only extra towels and wouldn’t take the soiled ones away. They told me the morning staff would deal with it. Do not use their on site car rental. Just don’t. Worst experience ever. We love a good all-inclusive. This is not it. Skip this one and stay somewhere else that might care a little bit more about the customer experience that you are paying for.

  My experience was great, but the service was horrible.

  I would rate my experience regarding the hotel, I would give it three stars. The reason for the three stars is because I was disappointed with the hotel. The room was OK, but the service was not good at all. I have been to the RIU Palace and the accommodations were phenomenal and the staff were very friendly. I thought I would try the RIU ANTILLES due to it being all adult. At the pool area we constantly had to get up and get our own drinks because no one was coming around, we had concerns about food being left out in the hallways, and no one coming to pick it up at the hotel. The service at the restaurants during dinner and lunch were the same where we had to constantly ask for napkins, we had to get up and get our own drinks. The food was very good no complaints there. We had concerns about the carpet in the hallways and how we were there for six days and they never vacuumed the hallways. Again, Aruba is one of those places where everyone is so friendly, but we did not get that same type of service at the adult side as always going into the city and interacting with the Arubians and the taxi cab drivers were phenomenal. I am going to always go back to Aruba, but the RIU all adult resort I will never stay at again. this was all over the hotel where you constantly had to ask for service. I am one who loves to tip, especially at all inclusive resorts because you don’t have to spend any money. There was never a reason for me to tip anyone at the restaurant besides going to get a pedicure. The service wasn’t where you wanted to tip because you were always getting up asking for what you needed. So very disappointed. I did take some great pictures though.

  Terrible experience at the Riu Palace in Aruba!

  We paid a significant amount of money for four rooms for a party of 11, and a substantial portion of the experience we paid for was negatively affected by conditions and service failures that were outside of our control. We chose Riu Palace Aruba because we expected a certain level of quality, service and comfort. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE The problem is not simply that one thing went wrong. We had: * An unbearable sewage/cesspool odor affecting our accommodations. * An odor so strong that it made it difficult to breathe comfortably. * A cesspool truck pumping the system, yet the odor ultimately became significantly worse. * Clothing and personal belongings that absorbed the sewage odor. * Multiple maintenance problems across four rooms. * Two rooms with non-functioning fans. * A broken coffee table. * A broken and leaking showerhead. * Two rooms with an unusual and inconvenient configuration of full-size beds pushed together that could not be separated. * Major difficulties obtaining restaurant reservations for our party of 11. * A lack of clear information about the restaurant reservation process. * Management promising reservations that were not actually made. * Hours of our vacation wasted trying to find places to eat. * A disappointing buffet that became our only reliable dining option at times. * Drinks that tasted as though they contained little to no alcohol. * Repeated problems and inconsistent rules regarding pool towels.

  Riu Palace Antilles - Really good vacation

  Travelled with my wife and older kids (19 and 24) to the Riu Palace Antilles in July 2026. The best part is the location. Perfect location on the beach and walking distance to the restaurants, bars, and shops. Beach was awesome. Has a floating dock to swim out to and jump off which was something to do as a nice change of pace. There was a small rock reef off the beach that you could swim out to and snorkel around and see pretty decent variety of fish and sea creatures. Food was decent. Pools were fine but we are beach people so spent most our time I. The ocean which was beautiful and calm all week. There was some entertainment around the pools but that is not our cup of tea. The constant breeze makes it feel like it is never too hot out. Beach is great for taking long walks also. Plenty of palapas but need to get down early to reserve the best ones which is not an issue for us. Buffet food is not exciting but was actually pretty good for a buffet. Restaurants were good, especially the steak house. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was they do not have reservations. You have to wait in line for restaurants to open as first come first serve system. If you come down after the initial waive then they will give you a beeper and a time to come back to be seated. Bars were good and most bar tenders were really good. We enjoyed hanging out at the lobby bar before and after dinner for drinks. My son went to the gym everyday and said it was adequate, The 24 hour cafe and coffee shop were nice to have and convenient. Staff was very friendly and polite. Check in was relatively quick with no issues. Rooms were updated and nice and we had a decent view of the ocean even though it was not an ocean front room. Only other knock is the elevators, as they can take quite some time during peak hours. There were fire exit stairs you could use but depending on your floor it could be quite a workout. I will say the Riu Palace next door that allows kids was under renovation and was not open. So we had less restaurants and pools to choose from but no young kids on the beach or running around either so not sure if that would have changed my ratings up or down. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this Riu. We have been to Riu's in Jamaica, Costa Rica, Mexico and I can say this one is one of my favorites and love Aruba in general.
