  Awesome!

  I would like to start out by saying that we could not have had a better experience. The shuttle from the airport to the hotel was on time. When we arrived our room was ready, clean and comfortable. Kevin at the elite check in was wonderful. Everything we needed was taken care of down to dinner reservations. I was constantly saying that I could not believe how clean the property was, how hospitable the staff was, we were able to eat at all the specialty restaurants, our mini fridge stayed stocked. The elite bar and restaurant were on point. We found the food options to be very good. We were there for our 40th wedding anniversary and the staff made sure everything was perfect! Truly, heaven on earth!! Yes, it is expensive, but I felt the price was worth the service. We are looking forward to returning to this awesome resort.

  Most Amazing Vacation

  We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Riu Aruba. The resort is very clean, beautifully maintained, and the accommodations were excellent. The food was good, and the staff across the resort was friendly, professional, and attentive. We especially want to recognize Thalia and Nelson (Daryl), two bartenders who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their service and personalities truly stood out. The only issue we experienced was with the beach. Although staff were cleaning during the day, the beach did not always appear to be combed overnight, and there was some debris left behind by guests. This was a minor issue in an otherwise fantastic vacation. We had an amazing time and would absolutely return to Hotel Riu Aruba.

  Overall, Good Resort, Great Location

  Our group of 22 people stayed at RIU Antillas for my husbands 50th birthday the 2nd week of December 2025. While the resort is dated, we overall enjoyed our stay. We only had 1 main issue, our group was to have a Cocktail Hour, used as our meet and greet on day 1, with Canapes. The hotel team failed to actually make our reservation with the kitchen even thou it was confirmed by the hotel 1 week prior to our arrival. They did try to reschedule us but since our week was planned already, we had no room to have that event another night. However, We did enjoy cocktails and also a sign was put out for us but no food. Drinks, the best bar was the lobby bar and we had amazing old fashions in front of the casino. The bartender at the lobby bar, Johnathan, made great expresso Martinis. The drinks at the pool were not so great, BUT we did find a bartender/server our 3rd day and kept going to him after that, Lil Andres, and he made good Tequila Mojitos, and he was also so nice! The entertainment team was great, lively and fun, with a special shout out to Brandon. He always seemed to engage with the crowd. The food overall was good. We didn't get to the steakhouse which was a bummer. We tried twice and could not get in due to them already done for the night, we tried around 7:30 and then 7pm. Apparently, you need to wait in line at 5 or you will not get in. I really wish this property would consider making reservations. The buffets were surprisingly good so we didn't mind too much of missing the specialty restaurants. Overall, we would consider coming back to this resort if some updates would be done. The palace looked nice and the adult only side should be nice too. Overall, all staff were so nice, Resort was clean, Beaches are beautiful and location is prime!

  A nice quiet, relaxing tropical resort with amazing staff. Definitely do combination tour of the island and snorkeling.

  We stayed at the Riu Palace Antillas early this month. I read the other reviews, while I can’t speak to that, I can best describe our stay. The resort is located in a terrific location, close to the airport and the beach is nice. Overall, the resort is very nice and the people are fantastic. Overall, the room was above average, clean, spacious and we had no major complaints. The rooms, furniture are a bit outdated and could use updating. You had a few choices of restaurants, and I can say the food is above average. We did not eat at the French restaurant. The steak house was by far the best restaurant. Like stated in other reviews, dining is a frustration, while they don’t do reservations, you just get in line and hope for the best. Only elite members can make reservations, so you have to get in line early as everything was first come, first serve. Like the steakhouse people were lining up 45 mintues to an hour before they opened. The people were absolutely amazing, friendly, accommodating, and more than happy to make your stay absolutely terrific. Brenda and Jerry Garcia were the bartenders at the lobby bar during the day. They were both outstanding, we looked forward to seeing them every day. They were attentive, friendly, made excellent drinks, courteous, always gave excellent service, and were a great representation of what the majority of the staff were like. I have to give a shout out to Paola who took care of the beach towels, she was extremely delightful, helpful, friendly and just terrific. Those 3 are a great representation of what the majority of the staff were like. Overall, it isn’t the best all-inclusive, adults only resort we have stayed at but it is also not the worst. It is adults only at the resort itself, however the beach is not controlled and there is another resort that has children next door. It has a lot of good things, like their fresh fruit, the staff, the location, and unlike some adults only it was mostly quiet, not a party resort, where you can’t enjoy a quiet day of relaxing. I wouldn’t, not suggest staying there, just be aware of the limitations. I would definitely return, due to most of the staff being like the 3 people I mentioned, the food, the location, and the beautiful beach and ocean I would stay again.

  King beds are non existent

  I recently came back from RIU Antilles, Aruba. It is an all-adult resort. Drinks were good, plenty of alcohol. Buffet food was also good, a large variety for any type of cuisine you desired. I am not a vegetarian but many choices, if you prefer. The desserts look amazing and yummy, but sadly no taste. But, thanks, I didn't need empty calories, so not so much to complain. All employees were wonderful, nice and respectful with smiles on their faces at all times. We noticed many employees work at least 12-hour days, every day of the week, as we saw them the entire 7 days, starting early morning to very late at night. My only adverse review is the room. I requested a king bed and got two full beds - made up separately pushed together. That leaves a big crevice in the middle, and you are fighting the sheets all night as they are tightly made on each bed. I think that it is the norm, as I looked at other rooms from the hallway and theirs were the same. We found if you don't tip the room service attendant, you are low on soap, clean towels and a not so clean bathroom floor. After one day of that, tipping the room service woman was a must.
