    Weather in Aruba is great

Decent Hotel in a great location. The beach is really nice. The MAJOR pain in the hind end is you have to get up at 5:00 am to guarantee a Palapa down at the beach. What a pain in the rear end. Who wants to set their alarms on vacation. If there was a better way it would have made the beach experience waaay better. Over all the food was good. The italian restaurant was average at best. The staff was nice and spoke very good english for a Caribbean island. The gym was better than the pictures.

    Fantastic birthday trip

Went end of February to early march for my birthday with my best friend, we had a fantastic experience! We enjoyed everything about this place. Every staff member we crossed paths with were smiling, kind and helpful. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Food was outstanding with so many choices. Drinks were really well done, especially at the lobby bar. I don't know about the entertainment because we didn't go to any of the shows. We would not have to think twice about returning next year, highly recommend!

Wish I could give 5 stars.

We enjoyed our stay. The buffet for breakfast was wonderful, just being able to sit outside was a jewel in itself. However, the customer service that this hotel provides is shameful and not caring at all. It is like we were kicked to the curb: On March 22 I sent this note and still have not received a reply, nor have we received a reply to the other emails sent to Diana Hernandez on several occasions. This is a copy of the final sent : It is now 2 weeks and we have had no satisfaction. On my initial call to the hotel, (March 8) it was verified that indeed we left the cell phone in our room and Housekeeping did indeed recover. We had no communication with anyone till March 11. I again placed another call to the hotel on March 18, again speaking with customer service, she verified that the phone was found by housekeeping. She then in turn on the 18th sent me papers to complete to ship via FedEx. I filled the paperwork in, of the 2 pages I received. I told her twice that I did not receive an additional 3 pages that were sent to me. I have tried contacting her again to no avail. Very poor customer service, very poor communications, no response, for days. At this point, we had to purchase a new phone, my husband needs a cell phone for a multitude of reasons. So do not send the one left behind, we have no need for it now. We had such a lovely time, too bad this is a stain on you. I will comment under reviews should I not hear from you. Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPad Poor way to run an establishment!

BEWARE OF COST OF LOST BRACELET

My son is currently staying at Riu Palace Aruba. He saved his money for a year to be able to take this trip and paid over $2,100 for the trip on his own. He was having a great time until his bracelet got ripped off on the banana boat. When he got back he went to the reception desk and they accused him of trying to get a bracelet for someone else, which was not the case. He was charged $250 for a new bracelet, not willing to hear it or budge. They also threatened to throw them out of the hotel if they “tried that again.” What kind of treatment is this?? Just because he’s young doesn’t mean he is irresponsible, spoiled, or trying to get away with something. He legitimately lost it and he had no choice to pay it or else he could not stay in his room that he paid for or eat anything for the rest of his trip. Horrible!!!
