  Another great stay!

  Another great stay! My wife and I have been coming here for years for her birthday but this trip decided to bring our kids and my in laws. This was our second time here this year. Our kids had a blast! They loved walking to the Riu Santa Fe and enjoying the water slides. At the Palace they loved playing waterpolo and Volleyball. We love seeing people who have becoming friends over the years. Can’t say enough about Abel! He treats us like family. Miguel and Granados upstairs are awesome! Astrid down by the beach! Franco overseeing guest services! They always remember us. Our waiters and other bartenders made this trip memorable. We had connecting rooms with my in laws in a perfect location of the property just like we requested. We can’t wait to come back early next year and hope to enjoy the same experience we now have come expect. Thank you Riu Palace!

  Our Cabo trip

  The ride I booked through United vacations from the airport was straight from hell, the young man driving thought he was in a nascar race and put everyone at risk several times. Overall hotel was great. everything was clean and very friendly staff. Although there are a lot of stairways from foyer to pool area, this wasn’t an issue for us but we saw many people struggling. The room was a little warmer than we like. Also We didn’t realize that you can’t swim at the beach in front of hotel. Biggest disappointment was the room view.when I booked the trip the pictures showed a straight on view to the water but We had to walk onto the balcony and look hard left for a water view. Food was great as long as you go early before the crowds pick it over.

  Very Disappointing Management Experience

  Very Disappointing Management Experience Our family recently stayed at RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas, occupying four rooms. While there were many enjoyable parts of our vacation, unfortunately one incident involving a restaurant manager, Zain, significantly affected our overall experience. Some members of our family had returned from the pool/beach and were wet, so they remained outside the restaurant. One family member who was dry went inside simply to get food/a plate for the children because they were hungry. I want to be very clear: my complaint is not about RIU having rules regarding wet clothing. We respect hotel policies. My concern is how the situation was handled. Instead of calmly explaining the policy, the restaurant manager publicly instructed staff, in front of other guests and employees, not to provide our family with a plate, water, or service. His manner and tone were disrespectful and humiliating. When we expressed concern, he openly gave us his name and essentially told us that we could complain to whoever we wanted. This happened in front of our family, including our children, as well as other hotel guests. We felt unnecessarily singled out and embarrassed. A family member reported the incident to reception, and we waited approximately 30 minutes for management assistance. We did not feel the situation was properly addressed. After returning home, I also formally contacted RIU regarding the incident and received acknowledgment/reference numbers, but as of August 26, I have not received a substantive response addressing what happened. We chose RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas for a family vacation and booked four rooms. I expected a much more professional response from management at a resort of this level. I hope RIU management reviews this incident, speaks with the employees who witnessed it, and takes appropriate steps to ensure other families are treated respectfully—even when hotel policies need to be enforced. I will gladly update this review if RIU management contacts me and meaningfully addresses the matter.

  Be warned

  Very dissatisfied and disappointing end to what had been a nice holiday. We checked out today. The weather was atrocious. Water was gushing outside. We had booked and paid for a return Taxi from the airport. The hotel would not allow the taxi company to enter the hotel grounds to pick us up. We advised this was unexpected and requested the vehicle to be granted entry. The hotel reception said they would and yet still 30 minutes later they would not allow entry. It was suggested that we book another taxi approved by the hotel at a cost of $150. US.to the airport or pay for one of their approved taxi to pick us up and take us to the bottom of the drive at a cost to ourselves. Eventually we had no choice but to walk with all of our luggage in torrential rain to meet our already paid for taxi off the hotel grounds. We were soaked and had no choice but to sit in wet clothing looking dreadful and feeling awful for our long journey back to the UK. Hotel reception staff were incredibly rude and all of this was completely unacceptable. A very sour ending. I would also like to add that prior to our arrival we had emailed the hotel and asked if approved airport transportation was available and we were told that we had to book our own!

  A wonderful vacation to be had.

  My wife and I booked this all inclusive resort to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We were there from Aug 15-22, 2026. We had a wonderful time, and enjoyed every minute at the resort. The only draw back was going there in August. Although beautiful, it was hot, and very humid. This is not a negative comment about the resort, it’s just when our anniversary is, and this is where we chose to spend it. Nevertheless, we had a fantastic time. The staff, and all people either associated with the resort, and even those not associated with it, were very kind and accommodating. A huge shout out goes to Arturo of Destination Services, the transportation company with the resort, for going above and beyond for helping me get my phone back, when I inadvertently dropped it in one of their vans. Thank you to him, and everyone associated with the resort, for making our vacation memorable. God Bless.
