Oct 22, 2026Nice Family Friendly Resort
I've stayed at many RIU properties and this one is average at best. Not bad just not the best one I've stayed at. Check in and check out was smooth and easy. Our room was okay but there were noticeable things that need attention. Housekeeping did a great job and were always friendly. The grounds are nice but most of the main areas such as hallways and common areas need a refresh. Pools were clean and well maintained. Service was very good from top to bottom. The swim up pool bar staff was awesome. Every employee we interacted with was great! The beach is nice and the waterpark was very clean. Food was average. A few things were really good but sadly the meal I was most looking forward to, the lobster dinner at the Steak House was not so good. The lobster was like hard rubber. The Italian restaurant was very good and the Mexican restaurant was delicious! This RIU is not a bad resort but it needs some freshening up. All in all its a nice family friendly resort.

Activity and entertainment update
Over all it's a great Adult only resort. I noticed that entertainment is quite repetetive. I really would suggest some fun nights for older couples, as the dominant vacationers. An outside night of 70 discos, a waltz night and younger ones could enjoy as well. The 11 - 2 pm club is a total disgust in appearance and activity. Hand out a review cards and suggetions for this club.
