    Our relaxing honeymoon

    This was a BEAUTIFUL resort and the service was EXEMPLARY! When we arrived, they were already expecting us and we were offered champagne while we checked in. We had the fully stocked mini bar and refrigerator waiting for us in our upgraded suite. We also received welcome gifts because of our honeymoon. We never got the opportunity to call the front desk to ask for anything because they called to check to make sure that our needs were met, at least, once a day. We ate at every restaurant we desired during our 5 day, 4 night stay. They had stands where they were making drinks as we exited to go to the pool/beach area. The only issues we had was the bed we slept on was extremely hard and caused us a lot of body aches. If you're familiar with a sleep number mattress, it felt like the number was at least 70. Secondly, I wish they had an elevator closer to our suite. We were in the elite club area and had to walk down a pretty long corridor to reach the elevator. I still give the stay 5 stars because we never felt so pampered!

    Exceptional service

    I had a wonderful stay, and I want to give a special shoutout to Lewis at the concierge desk and Jamar, one of the waiters. Both provided exceptional customer service and truly went above and beyond to make my birthday unforgettable. Lewis was incredibly attentive, helpful, and made sure everything ran smoothly from the moment I arrived. Jamar not only delivered amazing service during breakfast but also surprised me by singing for my birthday—which absolutely made my morning. Their warmth, professionalism, and personal touches really stood out. Thanks to both of them for making my birthday so special.

    Carnival cruise on land - not a good thing.

    This was our 2nd time coming to this hotel and we will not be back. Unfortunately the rooms are very dated and in desperate need of maintenance. The food is a bit hit and miss, some days it was amazing and others it was definitely warmed up leftovers. Now the real problem is the other guests. I don’t mean the ones like us that spent £1000’s on their dream vacation, I mean the ones that flew 3 hours from “ATL baby” and came to party with their speakers, fans and the bottle of Hennessy. Most weekends the pool, bar area and restaurants became like a carnival cruise and god help anyone who wanted a 5* relaxing holiday.

    Riu Palace Jamaica

    This was my second time staying at the Riu Palace Jamaica. The resort was as I remembered it from a few years ago. It is a beautiful resort and makes for an enjoyable vacation location. The only thing I do not like is that the bathtub is right in the middle of the room and there is no way to block it off. Other than that, the staff members are friendly, rooms and grounds are neat and clean.
