Fabulous hotel with many positives but a couple of negatives
We are currently staying at the RIU Palace in Jandia - our first time at the hotel and, overall, we have been very impressed. The location is fabulous, right next to what must be the best beach in the Canaries. The view from our Sea View room is probably the best we have ever had and the evening sunsets are amazing. The service from the staff at the Pool Bar has been consistently first class, the evening entertainment has been great and quite a few of the staff liven up the nights by leading the dancing !!! The food has been excellent, in both the buffet restaurant and the specialty restaurant Krystal Lehigh guests can book at no extra charge. On the negative side, the weather in the winter months can be unpredictable with cool, windy and ( very occasionally) wet evenings and this is the ONLY hotel I think we have ever been to that does not have an inside bar or lounge. There is a Lounge Bar but, when we enquired, we were told it was permanently closed but with no real explanation. So all of the guests had to put on their coats, jumpers and sweatshirts to watch the evening entertainment by the pool or to have an evening drink. I am sure the Hotel offering would be greatly enhanced by rethinking this.

4 star not 5.
So many smokers it felt like I couldn’t get away from the smell. Every day my clean clothes piled up in my room smelling like a used ash tray. It seems like you can basically smoke anywhere you like, if you’re German of course. Only the one bar here if you can get a seat. The Floors around the bar area flood so lots of towels are always on the floors like a part of the furniture. The entertainment is ok if you’re in your 70s and you like the odd hip slipping jig with a Zimmer frame. The food is good with a very large selection from fish to pasta, meats and vegetables. The waiters do their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible! No water is free here not even at Dinner. The pool is warm (ish) salt water. The views are amazing. The rooms are clean. I would say that this place isn’t a 5 star at all more like a 4 star. It lacks the finer touches of a 5 star!

really enjoyed it
just back from the riu palace jandia which we really enjoyed very much , having stayed in riu palaces before morocco ,tres islas to name a few we have never been disappointed . lovely large room overlooking the ocean could not want for better and a short walk to the beach , loved the pool and sun terraces which again offered fantastic views of the sea , we did eat in the buffet restaurant every night which i have to say was as good as anywhere we have stayed a credit to the staff and hotel. in short a great experience all round highly recommended.

Fabulous place to stay
The hotel was amazing. Fabulous location right next to a beautiful beach. Rooms were very comfortable and kept spotless. Hotel staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. Kept us a plate of food on our first night because we arrived late. Hotel food was amazing! Every night different options. Couldn’t recommend this hotel anymore. Don’t hesitate to book. You won’t regret

Another great holiday
20 years now been returning to the RIU Palaace Jandi, as much for it's staff who treat me and my wife almost as family. Great friends who we see every year and make it such a joyous holiday. Great positioning though the promenade building work outside Robinsons Hotel and to the side of the RIU Palace is awkward, hopefully be finished soon. Overall I can only thank Jesus and his team yet again for a great holiday.
