  Lovely hotel

  We have just returned from a week in this lovely hotel. Hotel and grounds absolutely spotless. Food was exceptionally good and lots of choice every day. We tried the Krystal restaurant which again we enjoyed the only thing we would say is that it would be nice to have some background music playing both in the Krystal and in the main restaurant Drinks were good choice. I did enjoy the cava and dry white wine but would like to see a bit more choice with the wine selection. There was only one choice of red and rose and two for white. Coffees were also lovely especially the Bailey's coffee. Snacks available all day at the snack bar and discovered that late evening they have food in the lobby bar not that we had any apart from returning the night of the white party The white party was held at the riu gran canaria and transport laid on. This was a brilliant night and we thoroughly enjoyed it Entertainment that we saw was very good in the evenings. Although was quite chilly in the entertainment area but we soon discovered the blankets. Service was very good all round. Room We were on the 4th floor and had a lovely sea view and across the dunes. The room was lovely again exceptionally clean. My only complaint was that the bed was extremely hard. However I reported this to reception who then arranged to have some blankets put on to try and make it softer. The hotel itself is in a lovely location a short walk away from the beach and various shopping centres. Pool area Again exceptionally clean. We did find people put their towels down very early in the best spots as due to all the palm trees there is limited sun. It is very annoying when they put their towels down and then don't appear until the afternoon. Might be worth doing as they do in other hotels if you aren't on your sunbed and it's been over an hour that the towels get removed. We also found the sunbeds to be very uncomfortable again. For a 5 star hotel you would hope they would be a bit more comfortable. We came away last minute for a week of sun and relaxation and to explore the resort. The temperature during the day was in the low twenties and a bit chilly in the evenings which we expected. We had a lovely week at this hotel. If you want lovely food (a big thank you to the chefs for making this all delicious and I have to say this is the first hotel and I've been to many where the food was still hot on my plate when I got back to my table. Excellent service by all staff and a hotel that is spotlessly clean you won't go wrong with this one. Thank you riu palace palmeras we will be returning next year😁

  A most relaxing holiday

  My wife and I had just returned from a most relaxing weeks holiday at the Riu Palmeras Hotel. We would like to thank the wonderful staff for being so attentive to our every need. The location is perfect for local bars, restaurants and for long walks along the promenade or the long stretch of sandy beach. Food was of a high quality with a roast carved every night. The buffet selection catered for for every taste. Drinks were served to you at the table and the waiting staff were not slow in offering top ups. At breakfast we liked the fact the coffee and tea were brought to your table. We were situated on the 4th floor which had great sea views. For higher floors you had to pay extra. There were plenty of sunbeds available but many were in the shade. These may be more popular in the summer months. We would highly recommend this hotel as it is great value for money. We are looking at present to book for next year.

  Chill out!

  Perfect relaxing holiday. Food was amazing. Lots of choice. Service outstanding. Everyone so friendly. Hotel near the beach and the dunes and the bus stop to other coastal towns. Couldn’t have asked for more

  Exelent Hotell

  Very good hotel. Fantastic staff who really went the extra mile for you. The food could be more daring. Lacked a little depth in the food. Gets 4.5 from me because the following was missing for 5.0. More varied food. There was a lack of paper/towels in the public toilets. You never refill wine from the left side.

  Overall lovely hotel, cold in the night but blankets supplied to watch show, balcony rooms lovely bit noisy from neighbouring hotel across road in night but abke to sleep.reception staff restaurant staff all very helpful pleasant, food good little repetitive some days but plentyfull
