  Very good hotel

  We had an amazing time at this hotel, the hotel is beautiful, clean and fun and the beach is gorgeous. Pros: - Exceptionally clean, staff cleans the common areas all the time. - Room is spacious and comfortable. - Beautiful grounds. - Beautiful beach. - Great location, walking distance to 5th avenue. - You can visit other Riu hotels around at a walking distance. - Entertainment is great - shows every night in the main stage + singers in the other stage between shows. There’s also games and a foam party at the pool. - Pools seem good (didn’t use much, we’re beach people). - Food is excellent in the buffet and all other restaurants. - There’s self service “fast food” (burgers, hotdogs, fries, nachos) around the pool every day starting at lunch time and all afternoon. You won’t be hungry if you want to stay at the beach or pool all day. - Bars are good. I didn’t feel like the drinks were watered down like I felt in other resorts. Cons: - The beach doesn’t have umbrellas, only palm trees. You can always find chairs at the beach, we didn’t have a problem with that, but it’s hard to get shade. You need to keep switching chairs throughout the day to follow the shade. It gets annoying quickly. - Mini bar service is really bad. This service is separate from housekeeping and they only pass before 10am. We always had do not disturb sign at this time because we’re at breakfast and getting ready for the beach, so our water would not get replaced, even though we always removed the sign around 10am and left for the full day. We complained, as it happened the first 2 days and they said it was because of the do not disturb sign. They should include this service with housekeeping then if the staff is not available for the service after 10am. This was very frustrating, as we’re in a location where the water is not potable, we need the water bottles.

  Wonderful and relaxing

  What a hotel. From the minute we pulled up we were all amazed. We came for a family holiday celebrating a big birthday and this place was fantastic. All of the staff are fabulous. It is so clean and kept this way throughout the day. The rooms were a good size included everything you needed and toiletries lush. The food in each place was great - fresh and plentiful. The bar staff everywhere were amazing and creative! The coffee bar was my favourite place the coffee and milkshakes are the best! Go team! We wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

  Absolutely breathtaking

  I went for my birthday the week of December 15-20th. I almost cried when it was time to leave. The resort is beautiful, emaculate, spacious, and so relaxing. When we arrived, Sebastian checked us in. He was so nice. Check in was smooth like butter. I even got an upgrade. It was decorated so beautiful. The food was so good. You are literally treated like royalty. The drinks were good. The beach was amazing. I literally did not want to leave. Take me back! LOL

  Lovely hotel and the best holiday!

  We’ve been lucky enough to spend Christmas and New Year here. A beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean with very attentive staff. Everyone from the housekeeping to management has been very warm and welcoming. Room was lovely, beach, pool area entertainment, can’t fault a thing. The food has been delicious, lots of variety and excellent service. Diet starts tomorrow!

  A Very Good Experience Other Than One Thing

  We spent a week here in December 2025 and had a very good time. I would have rated it 5/5 other than one thing. On the positive side, the facility is impressive and exceptionally clean; our junior suite was comfortable and well laid-out with a balcony overlooking trees and the neighbouring property. The food, drinks and especially the staff were exceptional. Tips were appreciated but not required for quality service. The beach area is one of the best with plentiful chairs under mature palm trees and great swimming. Our only negative is a big one for us and will likely prevent us from returning. I am allergic to cigarette smoke, and despite it being illegal in Mexico people were regularly smoking in the beach seating area under the palm trees. We relocated our chairs several times but couldn't always escape the odour and had to leave. By the end of the week we were avoiding it. We discussed with the front desk (who weren't prepared to do anything and advised us to tell security whenever we saw someone smoking ... not going to happen, and told them they needed to handle this). We discussed with our on-site travel rep and even with security but nothing changed.
