4.5 stars. Our mixed age family group had a very nice time. Multiple pools, restaurants, and bars to choose from. Lovely beach. Good food. Nice rooms (though chilly at times, which couldn't seem to be adjusted). My only real complaint was the entertainment noise level at the main pool. The hotel-run pool activities, especially in the afternoon, were conducted through speakers set to a deafening level, forcing some people to retreat to the beach just for some relative quiet. Other than that, the only thing to mention is that it's a long drive from the airport.

We have made this resort our 2nd home ! This resort makes you feel like they will do anything to make your stay a great one. We have been down to Mexico 4 times this year and 3 with this resort. Most all of the people that work here are like family. The food is always good and the drinks are as well. Already booked our next stay. I also great to get to walk to town and I always take advantage of that. The beach is Hugh and very nice just like the resort. See you soon

Fabulous! Our 6th Trip!
My husband and I are preparing for our 7th trip to Riu Palace Riviera Maya for Christmas. We stayed for a week in June for my birthday and Esteban and Ceilo made my birthday dinner extra special. We can’t say enough nice things and just truly feel like we are home when we visit. The service is outstanding and the food is so delicious. It seems like it gets better and better each trip. So flavorful and healthy. The hotel and beach are beautiful. We are really looking forward to the special holiday decorations and food. The live music in the evenings has really been good and we enjoy singing along. It is our favorite place and we highly recommend. We are also really looking forward to seeing the people who make our stays so enjoyable. Upon arrival we see Adriana at the Lobby Bar for a big smile and amazing drink. We prefer dinner meals at Don Rafael seeing Esteban and Ceilo. We always look forward to seeing Carlos and Lorenzo at Chili’s for lunch with a gorgeous view of the beach. Drink service at the beach and pool is really good with Herbert and Herman. They and many others are a huge reason we enjoy our stay!
