    I love NY!

    The RIU is a lovely hotel and close to Times Square and the subway station. We were in town to see Michael Jackson the Musical and this hotel was a short walk to the theater. The drinks in the bar were tasty and so was the buffet breakfast. The hotel is clean and well kept. I would stay here again and would definitely recommend.

    Poor room design equals poor sleep

    The design of the rooms is awful. There is no way of turning on the bathroom light without illuminating the entire room. Ok if you’re traveling alone. There was a mix up with number/size of beds in our reservation. We got over that and my friend and I shared what I don’t think would qualify as a queen. More like a full size. Two pillows only. Breakfast buffet was very good.

    Fantastic place

    Stopped here for 4 nights, absolutely faultless fantastic view from the room, clean and tidy. Breakfast was great for choice and taste cannot fault it All staff we engaged with was polite and very helpful

    Stay in NYC

    In NYC to see a few Broadway shows. The hotel is walking distance from the theater. There are lots of restaurants nearby. It is a short walk to Times Square. Breakfast buffet had lots of options. You can leave your luggage there if you have a late flight.

    Great location and a lovely time had

    My wife and I stayed at this hotel in February 2025. We found the location to be the best selling point of this hotel - right on the doorstep of Times Square with access to everything seemingly happening from there in New York! We could not fault the service or cleanliness of the hotel with the rooms and hotel itself in a good state of repair. We were treated with respect by every staff member that we came into contact with. One slight thing to note - not like other hotels, this one actually takes a security deposit actively out of your account and then states that it takes 3-14 business days to return. That time has passed now and I still haven't received my security deposit back yet. I have contacted the hotel and I am hoping for a reply soon.
