Unless you’re under 25 years old, go somewhere else b

This if you don’t care about good food, comfortable beds or good service. This is the place for you. we booked a room for three adults and got a room with two double beds. I’m 6 foot three 250 pounds trying to share a double bed with my wife. Neither of us have slept more than a couple hours since we have been here, we are miserable. The food is absolutely horrible. We asked the day we got here to get an upgraded room and they said no problem. Call us on Sunday when it settles down and we have one for you. We called them and of course there’s no rooms available. So we’re stuck getting no sleep in this uncomfortable bed that barely fits. One person. I’ve never wanted to go home so bad for a trip in my life. We are completely miserable. This is literally a motel six on a beautiful resort. If you have those expectations, you’ll be fine. It is a party atmosphere in the party is really fun and if they put a little effort into a few minor things, this place could be so much better. I am almost shaking as I am writing this because I’m so angry with this place.

    Great resort, friendly staff

This is our 5th time at this resort and we love it. The view from the infinity pool is amazing, the staff are very friendly especially Dessi, Sintia and Miguel at the Mezcal bar. Yes it is more of a party resort but that doesn't change our opinion of it. We will definitely go there again.

The best place to stay at Los Cabos Lucas

This place is great for family vacations. Everyone speaks English and Spanish. The service is great and pools are amazing. The one by the sea is great! And the food is also pretty decent. The animation team does a great job keeping everyone entertained all day long. Thank you Riu Santa Fe ,

    Great resort

The staff was very helpful and friendly. I originally had a suite but due maintenance had to be downgraded to another king room...however the staff did everything possible to accommodate us....this place is huge, you will do some walking, but this place is beautiful...we definitely will be back...

BIRTHDAY PARTY OCT 13- TRAVEL AGENT REVIEW

As a group of 10, we were at the Riu Santa Fe for a Birthday celebration. Check-in was a disaster. Not one sign shows check-in by tour operators....if you get there with a private cab, you automatically go to the main front desk as at every hotel.....well after an hr in line, half way through the computer work, we were told to go to the other desk, where Sunwing guests check-in...of course we did not. Insisted to be checked in right where we were. Suggestion to management: add sign to check-in desk for specifications by Tour Operator to prevent confusion. No bell boys were available as per our receptionist- I did not get her name unfortunately, and we had to carry our luggage ourselves to our building and up the stairs. Not fun when u r tired, it's 30 C and high humidity. The grounds are beautifully maintained, featuring impressive cactus plants and other desert flora that create a unique and captivating atmosphere throughout the resort. Koodos to the gardeners! The hotel is huge. Around 1600 rooms Some accessible rooms available also and there's ramp to restaurants, pools and beach ( not into the ocean as it's not swimmable) It has a quieter side and an activities side ( all 3 Riu's in Los Cabos have this same set-up) Building 7 has elevators, the other buildings are 3 storey buildings scatterred closer to the restaurants and main buffet, however, building 7 has it's own little buffet restaturant for all meals of the day. It has a main pool with swim-up bar ,in the center of all the other buildings except 7 , whule building 7 has an infinity pool in the center and 1 pool bar on each side ( noisier and quieter) Food is excellent, a'la carte restaurants work with first come first served basis, therefore, no reservation is required. Some are buffet style, others will take your order. The attention to your order is so-so, some are due to the servers language barrier. Pools are clean, warm and spacious. Rooms: newly renovated, beautiful, clean and well kept. The maids do an excellent service, they deserve to be praised on the work they do! All rooms have a minibar with tequila, rum, vodka, gin with dispensers, and also a minifridge stacked daily with pepsi, 7 up, tonic water, club soda and beer. Beach: is a yellow course sand that is hard to walk on. It's not the beach that you can easily walk as your feert sink deep un the sand, however, if you have the desire you can walk all the way down to the marina ( 2 hrs-ish in the heat with breaks) Ocean: wavy, strong undertow, high waves most times and steep drop. It's mostly unswimmable. We had a chance to get in twice while there, but only for short times. The view from the resort is unbeatable, one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. RIU PARTY: the Santa Fe is the party resort. There's 4 parties within a 7 day period: Pink, Neon, Jungle and white themed. Very well organized, lot's of security to keep things under control, the costumes for the dancers and animation are excellent! It's worth checking it out at least once for every agegroup, however, 90% of participants is under 30. One huge negative for us was the lack of specialty coffee at the restaurants. If we wanted a fairly good one, we had to go all the way up to the Sports bar ( 24 hr bar/food). When asked about why isn't specialty coffee at various locations, we were told: people come here for drinks not coffee :) ...no comment. I guess we should've booked the Riu Palace to have that option :))) Suggestion: have the automatic coffee machines function at various locations- operated by clients Huge THANK YOU goes to Ana Micaela Gómez Méndez for the hotel Inspection at all 3 Riu's! Muchisimas Gracias!
