Amazing getaway
We decided that we were going to Los Cabos, so of course, we would be staying at a Riu and decided on the Riu Santa Fe. We definitely made the right choice. The resort was amazing. Lots of entertainment day and night. The rooms are large and very clean. The restaurants are amazing and have something for everyone. I would definitely recommend the Riu Sana Fe to friends and family and hope to return soon again.

Family vacation
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Riu Santa fe Hotel in Cabo. It's a perfect place to go with kids. They had great activities throughout the day and night, buffets and resturants were available on the resort grounds, room service and staff were VERY kind and helpful, the kids love the waterslide and they loved having easy access to food throughout the day throughout the resort. The staff was very kind and accommodating when I needed milk for the baby at night, very grateful for that. They resort grounds were very well maintained, clean and organized. The buffet was ok, however they did have ALOT to choose from and I love their fresh juice every morning. If you are traveling with a baby, take a small trolley that's easy to get up and down the stairs or one of those carriers to make it easier for you. Theres No elevator access so beaware. Only thing I wish they would have more Mexican music poolside to enjoy your viva Mexico stay. I love Mexican culture of more Mexican Musica I'm all about it. And get a message on the beach it's the BEST... My kids definitely want to go back. So thankful for this resort for making our family trip an incredible experience. Thank you for the beautiful family vacation. Viva Mexico!

Would try another RIU but somewhere else
I'll start of with the good. I found the check in was easy and everyone was really nice, we had to wait about 20 minutes for our room but that was understandable as we were early, the only thing is they didn't stock it with water as they were in a hurry so we did have to request that but it came in a timely manner. The grounds were gorgeous and well kept. Everything was clean. I definitely feel like it was for a younger crowd but at 50 I can hold my own at having a good time and if I get tired and can still sit back and have a great time. The pools and views are absolutely amazing. The breakfast buffets were good, the desserts are good and had great service. Now for the not so good. The food could use a lot of help, very tasteless and mostly cold. The steak I had at the steakhouse was literally grey. On our last night there we went to the Italian restaurant Carusso and thought wow this is going to be great. Then I found a 2 inch metal box staple in my food and all they asked was if I wanted a different plate of food. It was too late to speak to customer service and we left the next morning before they came in. I was appalled. Also it's not handicap friendly there are no rails going up the steps into the buildings and none that I saw going into the majority of the pools. Overall I have it a 3. I've paid less and got more, the resort is gorgeous though I'll give them that, something just needs to be done with the food.

Disgusting rooms and disgusting policies and management behaviours
I stayed at Hotel Riu Santa Fe recently and had an absolutely awful experience. On the first night, I noticed bites on my legs, and by the second night, I actually saw bed bugs in my room. I took pictures and videos to document everything. I called reception, and even though I was told someone would come immediately, it took over an hour for a maid to arrive. She didn’t speak English and just sprayed the room with insecticide, replaced the blanket and pillowcases (but not the duvet), and left. When I called reception again, they said this is their only solution—to spray the room—and refused to move us to another room. They wanted us to sleep in a room that had just been sprayed with a toxic insecticide (Baygon Casa y Jardín), which is clearly labeled to keep away from your face and to ventilate the room. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told they wouldn’t do anything more. They even tried to downplay the issue by saying bed bugs are “expected” because of the hot climate in Cabo, which is completely ridiculous. Bed bugs are a sign of poor hygiene, not the weather! After the sheets were changed, there were STILL bugs on the bed. It was absolutely disgusting. The way management handled this situation was unprofessional and disturbing. They clearly don’t care about the health and safety of their guests. If you’re thinking of staying here, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. This hotel does not take basic cleanliness or guest comfort seriously. Stay away from Riu Santa Fe. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
