We truly enjoyed our time away at this beautiful resort. The property was very clean, and the staff was consistently visible throughout the day maintaining the grounds. We had the pleasure of meeting several standout team members who truly made our stay memorable—Nataneal, the mixologist bartender in the theater; Pedro at the morning buffet and afternoon Italian restaurant; and Aide in the Italian restaurant, who served us at dinner and made our friends’ birthdays extra special. These individuals were by far the best staff members we encountered on-site. As for the stay itself, it’s worth noting that the hallways do tend to echo. You can hear conversations clearly at night as guests walk through. While noticeable, it didn’t bother us much, as it’s not something within the staff’s control and the noise eventually settles as the night winds down. We had a beautiful ocean-view room, perfectly centered with views of both the pool and the ocean—highly recommended. My husband did notice a slight odor in the shower, which we reported. Dining-wise, the specialty restaurants can have long wait times. We personally found the steakhouse to be overrated. After a two-hour wait, it appeared understaffed and overextended, and the dinner itself was uneventful. Honestly, the steaks at the buffet were cooked better and served fresher. Based on our experience, I’d recommend the buffet for steak and the Italian restaurant for the lamb chops—absolutely delicious. One last thing to be aware of: if you choose to sit outside, be prepared to deal with birds and flies. This is largely out of the staff’s control, and they do their best to manage it. As for the flies, that’s simply nature. While not a complaint, I would suggest the resort consider investing in table fans, as many guests enjoy dining outdoors to take in the weather and views. Would I return? Absolutely. This review is simply an honest reflection—sharing both the highlights and areas for improvement.

We had a great stay and have been to the RIU Palace before. Although our Room has started showing its age it was still very clean & comfortable. So this is merely an observation & not a complaint. The entire Staff from the Front desk, to the Pool workers, Maids and Restraunt workers were awesome! super friendly and made sure we were enjoying our stay. We enjoyed all the food, drink and just had a wonderful time. Oh and they even surprised me by having a Small birthday cake waiting in our room to celebrate my day. To summarize: This is Great place, with great food & drink & great staff. We we'll be back!

Cabo vacation
Check-in was very smooth and efficient. We got a great room facing the ocean. The room was cleaned very nicely every day with some great towel art. The buffet and al a carte meals were all fantastic. Lots of entertainment to choose from. Live performers in the lounge bar every night, the theatre had great shows.

Food item labelled as vegetable cannelloni at the Italian restaurant so assuming it was I took a bite and BOOM it was meat. Approached the chef who agreed it was not vegetable and changed the label. No apology. Also told him the ravioli was not filled with ricotta as stated on the menu. I suggested it was the same filling as the cannelloni. Only until he opened one up and looked at it did he agree it 'looked' the same as suggested. WHAT? Does the chef not know what is in the food HIS menu?

Cabo Delight
We had never been to Cabo but have stayed at Riu’s before so knew it wouldn’t disappoint. The hotel and staff were great and the food was awesome. We will definitely be back!
