  Riu never fails

  Only bad this about my stay was.. it was too short! Food was good, we always ate at the restaurant closest to the beach, great view and coffee, what else can you ask for, the pools were all great, i could not get my daughter out of them..

  Mother/Daughter trip

  My daughter and I stayed 8/22-8/26. We had to ask for minibar fill daily as they only actually restock every 2 days. Which is fine, but when you have days of rain it is quite inconvenient. When we asked for a refill they did provide. We had an ocean view room in villa 7. It was a nice view but it was overlooking an infinity pool. Again, nice view but for what we paid for ocean view it was not really worth it. We only had 1 chair on our balcony and had to request another twice . Food-buffets were not that great, I would say average. The night we went for steakhouse they were serving Mexican, which was good but disappointing as we were looking for the steakhouse menu. The Italian restaurant was buffet style, which was fine but the meat options were dry. We did enjoy the creamy rice with lobster at the gourmet restaurant. The noise level in our room 7146 was less than desirable when they had , it carried on until after midnight. The beach vendors were a bit much. When you are sitting at one of the infinity pools they were pushing cocaine and marijuana even if you politely decline. When you did go to buy something they were pushing extras (like drugs). That is not what we came for. Overall housekeeping kept the rooms clean-ish. I am not sure how often they actually change the sheets but with a 4 night stay would hope they would be changed out at least once. The beds were made but could feel sand/grit in the sheets nightly even after taking showers morning and night. Which the products provided were subpar, not the best scent or quality. The beds were not comfortable. I have stayed at RIU Palace Pacifico in Pb elite club and had no complaints . The property is HUGE and it was quite a walk to the restaurants and entertainment . We had food at both Tiki Taco and Pepe’s Grill near the pools, it was tasty the meat and topping option were very “watery” and left you with mushy tacos that fell apart in your hands making a mess. Overall the staff was friendly and provided well. Thank you! I am unsure if we will return to this property in Cabo. We had a lizard in our room one night. Calling for backup and tearing apart our room finally was found and removed. What we paid for “off season” was not a value. Overall, service was good but not exceptional (even tipping well). The beach is not swimmable here. Do not attempt.

  Carnival cruise ship of hotels

  This was my first all inclusive, it was mediocre experience at best. Toilets break easy. Drinks are weak. Food was very low quality, I’ve never seen such a thin steak at a “steak house.” My favorite restaurant was tiki taco, it was a quick service taco restaurant but it was only open for lunch 1/8 days we were there. Also the pictures of the food on their menus do not match how the food actually comes out to you. There was a storm that came through while we were in the pool, they were kind enough to let us stay in the pool the entire storm but as soon as it ended they said they were closing the pool down and we should go to a different one (not sure what that was about because the storm was passed by that point) the staff are friendly enough but don’t expect to get to know any of the bar tenders, they are pouring drinks so fast they don’t even get a chance to talk to their coworkers. There’s very few bars that you can just go sit at. The sports bar smells weird. The only 24hr food service they had was a fridge of ham sandwiches and hot dogs on a roller, kinda disappointing really. Public bathrooms were kinda gross considering they had bathroom attendants for each bathroom. Air conditioning is weak everywhere you go. Pools were cloudy from all the pee that was in them and it looked like people soup in the infinity pools the number of people in them. Minibar had to be requested to get refilled. Housekeeper was lovely though, very sweet and did a wonderful job each day. The resort in outdoor areas was well maintained and landscapers did a wonderful job. Almost no bugs/ critters/ pests anywhere thanks to their resident (and well cared for) cats. Great views from hotel. The best way I can put it is this resort is the carnival cruise ship of hotels (except I think carnival has better food and drinks) just not the experience I expected.

  Need better food

  Prices is very affordable if you’re looking for agood spot if you’re there to party and don’t really care for food quality. This was my 2nd time visiting. First time I visited was right after Covid was lifted with my families, and my visit wasn’t that great. Quality of the service and the food was very meh. I was hoping to be better this time, but nope, food was still very meh. I like having good food options to choose from. There wasn’t room service AND there was nobody walking around to take your order while you’re lounging by the pool. This spot is for the younger crowd and not caring about the food quality. This will be my last time visiting this place, I gave it a 2nd chance. I visit Mexico often and I don’t ever stay at the same resort twice because there’s so many to choose from. Had no choice on the resort, I just tagged along.

  RIU cabo

  Ok! I feel like I did my reviews on this resort and Cabo, but unfortunately, I still have complaints which I hate doing because we went to Cancun and I had nothing but great things to say. Changed our rooms three times in two days massive leak right when we walked in, hardly any AC. cannot go into the ocean at all. Everything is very slippery every floor everywhere you go is so slippery so please be careful. Because you cannot swim in the ocean in front of the resort we were super excited to go snorkeling. We ended up choosing the pirate ship Buccaneer Queen. It was $119 for 3 hours. Please make sure you check for yourself what the ocean weather is going to be like because we had horrible waves and we were seasick the entire time. I’m talking crying throwing up. It was absolutely miserable and you cannot get off. The food was chips & salsa…the pirate show wasn’t good either. These people do this for a living, so it’s pretty unfortunate that they don’t warn us how rough the sea was going to be. We went to the marina. I was excited to go to Señor frogs The atmosphere is cool, but the food is not good at all. Definitely eat elsewhere. I would go back to Cabo but if and when I do, I hope I have a different experience.
