The hotel is nice, great location, good service and food. However, we would have liked if the pools were heated, they were very cold at this time of year. The jacuzzi's around the hotel were not working. The bathrooms need maintenance.

We came with a travel group who booked the resort in it's entire capacity, so many of the guests were friends already or had a least been on vacations together before. This resort is a standout for it's exemplary service, fantastic cuisine across diverse dining options, gorgeous white-sand beach and spacious, lovely suites with private concierge service. The resort boasts beautiful bars, pools, hot tubs and lush landscaping as well, so traversing the property is a joy. We were delighted with the care taken in catering to us, to ensure our stay was comfortable. 100% recommend. As a group, we came in with our own entertainers, DJ's, etc. so I cannot speak to the usual entertainment offered by the resort. We were thoroughly impressed by all aspects. 100% recommend.

The resort is on the smaller side with lovely grounds and a beautiful beach. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The room tubs could use a refresh as well as the lamps in the rooms. Lampshades were torn or broken. The electrical plug in the bathroom did not work however I reported that stating it wasn’t urgent to fix while there. You had to get up at 6:30 am to reserve a pool chair even though the hotel had signs prohibiting such action but if you didn’t reserve you didn’t get a chair. The Azia and Palazzo restaurants were very good. I may consider returning .

Amazing Hotel Resort
Beautiful place. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food is outstanding. Lots of selection Rooms is Beautiful and clean. Cleanliness of the resort is outstanding. The whole property very clean and tidy. Beach is amazing. Great adults only Resort to relax

A vacation to remember
This resort was superb. Surpassed all of our expectations and easily our best holiday south ever....and we've been to many. Extremely courteous staff at every touch-point from check-in to check-out. Restaurant staff were outstanding and meal quality was superb. Especially enjoyed the Italian (Palazzo) and Ventanas. The food is simply lovely to look at but absolutely delicious. Breakfast was great and the ocean views from the breakfast restaurants (The Deck as well Spices) add to the experience. They made a flawless version of Eggs Benedict at Spices. The resort is extremely clean and staff are constantly maintaining pools pathways and more. The butler service is an added touch making all of our restaurant reservations for us. The food (again) is clearly prepared by experienced professionally trained chefs. Beach was lovely, no need to get up at 5:00 am to reserve a beach chair, and towel exchanges were a breeze. Resort is small so everything is a short walk away and the staff are all extremely helpful and will direct you to anything you are looking for. If you're looking to party all night...maybe this isn't your kind of place. It is a quiet, relaxing and peaceful place and the majority of the guests seemed aligned with that. This was everything that we wanted in a vacation, and more. A very hard place to leave. 5 star all the way. It's nice to experience a resort that truly delivers on the promise. Highly recommend the Royal Hideaway Playacar and hope to return.
