    Great Experience!

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Solaris! It took a few days to get acclimated, but we loved access to the sister hotel which was very easy to get to. The nightly shows were very good! The entertainment staff at the pool was top notch! They did a great job! The pool bartenders were not very friendly and the drinks were very inconsistent—one day good, the next day terrible! The poolside service was appreciated. However, Mayra and Adriana took great care of us! It was very difficult getting in and out of the pools. There was only one access in one pool for senior citizens and it took us a long time to find. There were several areas that could only be accessed by stairs which was very painful for my knees. Other areas had ramps but those were pretty steep. This could be a deal breaker for us in the future. The a la carte restaurants offered good variety and tasty food! Both breakfast buffets offered an extensive variety of food. We particularly liked the station with tostados. Service was overall very attentive. The rooms were spacious and clean. The a/c was broken in our first room so we had to move. Once we moved we were very comfortable. Overall a great vacation spot!

    Happy and satisfied.

The crew at the kids pool at royal solari are all amazing especially azucena Suleica. They both went above and beyond to make sure my kids are entertained and safe. Suleica took care of them too last yr. We r member and we have been coming there for the last 18 yrs.

    Average

The place is average, nothing too special. Considering the price, it’s good. The buffet food at Las Fuentes was the best food there. Chef Antonio was so sweet and nice. Be aware, there are roaches there. I found one in my room.

    Awesome experience like always.

We had a great time, as always. One of the main reasons we continue to choose GR Caribe—or now Royal Solaris—when visiting Cancun is because of the flexibility to access both resorts. The kids love the pools and the kids club, while we really enjoy dining at the GR Caribe restaurants. I truly hope they continue to offer access to both properties and keep the dinner reservations process simple and smooth—any changes to that would be a dealbreaker for us. Overall, we had an amazing time. Special thanks to Suleica at the kids club—she always made us feel welcome and ensured our kids had a fantastic experience.

    Overall honest experience

Carlos the restaurant manager is fantastic so kind and so helpful when my daughter was poorly and went out of his way to get my daughter jelly and his English is great along with his advise. Such a kind man. Food is great. There’s a good choice. Though my favourite variation of food was breakfast but then French toast and pancakes etc and you’ve won me over. Angel was so attentive and a great server. He went the extra mile for me every time for example I asked for butter for my bread- simple really. I asked another guy who said no sorry, Angel went straight and got me 5 sachets ! Fantastic service. Paid attention to my child offered her a substitute as she wasn’t well enough and needed something plain so brought me pasta with nothing on. My experience with doctor victor was fantastic he was so helpful I wish I didn’t have to go to a doctor for my child but after hearing how amazing Mexican healthcare is despite it’s all private he was fantastic and I’m glad I spent the money to help my little one. The kids club staff are good. Odette, Sule, EMI, Mari and Azu. The kids club is a little tired and could definitely do with a refurb maybe it’s on the list as I know GR has just been having some work done. The kids pool doesn’t open till 9 /915 ish. With a small one in the pool by 8 some of it was fairly frustrating but that’s just my child being an early riser. The only downside to the resort is there is a massive language barrier, my friend however stayed at another resort the same time and said the same. It’s more fool me really for not speaking Spanish and being a lazy Brit but otherwise the resort is clean tidy, staff are helpful. Though I did struggle with reception and operator from the telephone. Again my own fault for not being Spanish speaking in a Spanish country ! The staff in the housekeeping were phenomenal I had an issue with water one morning actually 2 mornings and my shower and toilet didn’t work Tere went out of her way to sort this for me again despite barely understanding my English. Maria again was great and I want to apologise to them for having to clean up all the bedding I stripped off the bed after my daughter was poorly. They knew I was desperate for more bottled water and struggling to leave the room being on my own and unable to leave my toddler alone they brought me extra bottled water which was so kind and without me asking they just paid attention to what was needed. I’m rather disappointed however that despite everything seemed clean and my standards are high , my room was lovely. My daughter caught something in the pool and was extremely unwell so I would think the sanitation of swimming pools needs to be looked at. Lots of others I asked were all fine but one other little girl from Columbia the same time we were there was also incredibly ill. Though others from UK were fine and their children didn’t have any issues the same with Canadian families who’s children were also fine.
