Great first time experience
I will say that we were a little nervous when we first booked our reservation after reading some reviews. We were pleasantly surprised and had a great time, and this is coming from a generally nervous traveler. And you have to remember, most people only write reviews when they have something to complain about. All of the employees at the resort are very kind. Ramon at the pool was a highlight and he provided great service and was very friendly and helpful. The staff were always helpful with any questions. There are some slightly outdated features, but I feel it’s only if you are paying attention to certain details and they are currently complete tiny upgrades. It’s also close to town which we walked to and also used local taxi service without any issues. At the resort we were always able to find something to eat that everyone in our group enjoyed. This has been a great trip for our first experience at a resort like this. I hope my review eases any travel concerns others may have.

Beautiful Place, Kind People, Disorganized and Stressful!
I was at the Royal Solaris Los Cabos for 12 days and would have changed hotels after the first day, if could have gotten a refund with all of the confusion! It takes hours with Montserrat the concierge and days there to even figure out the restaurants! This is a case of bad management & poor to no communication. There was no clear signage or communication to know 100% which restaurants were open on which days and what the dress codes were. The same restaurants can have different dress codes at different times of day. You can ask different people who work in the restaurants which restaurant is available without a reservation that night & get different answers! My room was not cleaned for THREE days, though during that time they at least replenished the coffee packets (with a DO NOT DISTURB placard on the door while I was out). The room was at least always quiet. They would have seen the wet towels on the floor & my unmade bed but only left the coffee. At least the in-room coffee was good! The staff are very kind but even Montserrat told me “Just because they are told to change the way something they do something does not mean they will comply!”. I only had one bad meal there (deep fried breaded beef that was way over done). ALL of the waiters were kind & excellent. Aaron was my favorite waiter, so specifically requested him for my last meal. Make sure you tip them! Also, make sure you ask for bacon at breakfast, as it will not be offered in the buffet. The first few days will cause a lot of stress, realizing how mismanaged the resort is and the lack of order. One morning fluid that looked like black coffee ran out of my sink. At least Monserrat offered a free massage in their spa to compensate for it. Three nights in a row, water started dripping from the AC in the ceiling, so I had to put a towel down before I could let them know in the morning! The person who fixed it told me, “it happens in the rooms all the time”. Learn a few words of basic Spanish, as very few will be able to communicate more than a few words in English. There are always plates of uneaten food, trash paper & cockroaches in the hallway (and one in my room). On the stairway, there were trash and spilled drinks for days! As for the unlimited strawberry or mango daiquiris, there is zero fresh/frozen fruit in them. Yes, it would cost them a bit more, but a few chunks of real fruit would go a long way. Monserrat, I realize did the best she could, but when others will not follow her orders what can she do? There needs to be consequences for staff who ignore orders to do a better job. If you decide on Royal Solaris, Los Cabos, realize there will be days of confusion & anxiety until you realize you can have NO expectations and just hope for the best & expect the worst. The actual resort is very beautiful. The pool is always overcrowded. The swim up bar sounds amazing until you see people spilling the drinks in the pool. I guess margaritas in the pool are better than pee. There was a tropical storm warning there, so everything was done in the crowded lobby. The pool area was closed, yet hotel pools on either side of the Royal Solaris were open! There is so much potential, but so much lacking for what it costs!

Service with a smile
Our waiter was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. He made great recommendations, kept our drinks full, and checked in at just the right times without being intrusive. His positive attitude and attention to detail really elevated the dining experience. Excellent service from start to finish
