    This hotel has just gotten old

    Please read recent reviews as the old ones are not accurate anymore! We’ve been here in 2019 and we loved it the reason why we came back! But the hotel is just broken , no renovations have been made since! Rooms: broken bathroom door, the flush works sometimes and sometimes don’t Balcony door does not lock They don’t fill up the water in the rooms , in the fridge , so we had to beg every day to send us water , I say beg because we had to call a few times and every time they say they will send and they don’t Commun areas: only one functional elevator for a big building, used by guests and employees… so you literally can wait 15 min before getting to your room from the lobby ( we stayed at the 7th floor and we have 1 year old with a stroller) Buffet and food : buffet is just empty of food , they don’t fill it up, not even the plate, it’s just a joke! One stand of frying and the other one is closed sometimes for no reason , one guest had to complain for them to open the other one We lost water one evening and didn’t get back until late that night , so no showers after a day at the beach and the pool Coffee machine broken at the cafe bar, not many things available at this bar, it’s always missing something , we once had only one flavour of ice cream available, no cones and only forks available so we ate out ice cream with forks Jamaicans are mostly nice , so the staff is nice , some staff are rude but just humans being humans Not coming back to this hotel ,it was a waste of money and time

    One of the best weekends ever

    Stayed here for my wife birthday weekend check in was a bit of wait, However as the evening went on things quickly changed, where the front desk was short the entertainment team picked up and at no point did they drop the ball with their vibrant dancing and singing set the mood for a experience like no other, Rushana seashell and Tamara from entertainment was exceptional in their services even tho we beat them both some on the ludo game, that hand the right characteristics for the hospitality industry bright smiles, right vibes, excellent customers hats off to you ladies. We will be back Thanks

    Wonderful Location - Disappointing Experience

    We stayed at the Royalton – Blue Waters - Montego Bay Sept 2024. Positive points: • The food in the main buffet restaurant was generally tasty with a wide selection to suite most pallets including vegetarians and pescatarians. • The layout of the resort is attractive with options to hangout on the beach, or by the pool with swim up to the bar listening to music. • There were activities laid on throughout the day and in the evenings for those who wished to take part. • There was also the option to relax, away from the hustle and bustle. • Some of the staff went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Notwithstanding, several issues occurred during the period of our stay which marred our overall experience. A common theme has been a complete lack of communication from staff and management when issues are raised, and we find this totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, we experienced this behaviour on several occasions. The most memorable ones are listed below.: - 1. On our 1st Night, we ordered room service @ about 11:30pm and was advised that it would be between 30 -40 mins. It did not arrive 1:30 am. This was after several telephone calls and a visit to reception. It magically appeared 20 minutes later. 2. Sunday the 15th of September, we went to breakfast between 8:30 and 9 am and there was a very long queue, with a number of guests joining outside in the hot sun. Once inside we realised that the bottle neck was a result of tables not being cleared quickly enough for guests to be seated. Despite there being plenty of staff milling around. The process was clearly not working, and these didn’t seem to be anyone around to take accountability and fix the situation. Needless to say, we elected to go to breakfast earlier for the remainder of the holiday to avoid this unnecessary situation, Note: the overall appearance of the place was not particularly well maintained. The windows in the buffet restaurant were covered in smudges, there was food spilt in the lift was not cleaned up for the duration of our stay at the establishment. 3 My husband does not drink alcohol & only drinks sparkling water or ginger beer /ale. There seemed to be a severe shortage of these items and we had to plead with staff who would then go to another restaurant or bar to find them. 4 We booked a dinner for the Italian restaurant for my starter I ordered a mozzarella salad, what I got was not a mozzarella salad. See attached. While the salad was very nice it was lacking a key ingredient. It was only when we were leaving & the hostess asks if we enjoyed our meal, I was told that they had ran out of mozzarella. I was not informed of this, when ordering so I didn’t get the option to make another choice.   5 On Friday 27th September at around 15.00 we retired to our room after a day by in the sea, and by the pool. We obviously wanted to shower off and noticed that there was no water coming through our shower, although there was running water from the taps in the sink and the bath. We called housekeeping twice(15.30 and 16.09) and was advised that someone would be with us shortly. We even reported this via the app twice after a long wait my husband went to reception and was only then advised that it was a hotel wide issue they had problems with water pressure. At no point during our two telephone calls and using the app where we told of the real cause. It is only when we went to reception that we were inform of this issue. There was no attempt to communicate this issue to the paying guests at the hotel. I would have expected Senior Management to step in and manage the situation. Unfortunately, it was left to relatively inexperienced junior management to handle. There was no senior management in sight. There were families with children’s who needed to shower after spending the day in the sea or the swimming pool. Even once the issued was resolved, we were not informed, despite making several calls and trips to customer care. We only found out because we tried the shower ourselves. We reported the issue with the shower to our TUI rep who show displayed little or no empathy, she said she would speak to hotel management, we received no further communication from her regarding this . In our opinion this hotel is not 5 star and we did not receive value for money. There are clearly management issues at this establishment that need to be addressed. Had we known, we would not have made the choice to go there. I would have liked to recommend the hotel to friends and family, but I can’t.

    WORSE VACATION OF OUR LIVES!!

    Worse vacation of my life. They should refund my entire family! Only reason I would give a 1 is because of my butlers- Ryan, Sonnoy and housekeeper Anthea. Hard to leave a review on their actual site, I don't blame them, I wouldn't want the truth on the site if it was mine. No one seem to be in a hurry to please at any restaurant. The food was awful, buffets terrible, fruit green and extremely hard- even watermelon. Restaurants that had fans didn't have them on, most of the common areas were too hot with no fans- they had plenty of big lights though-even the entrance! Staff more concerned with tips then actually helping. my children asked every one to wear white for anniversary dinner and we went to their steak restaurant - the waiter across from us dropped his tray with all the flood flying, food got all over my daughters white dress, no one from staff came to help-no apologies- no help with cleaning her dress, took forever to clean it up. When my son in-law tried to talk to manager, he got ignored. they don't tell you most of the restaurants are booked ahead of time, we did get into the zen -I believe, a kind of Japanese restaurant. That one wasn't bad, no white sauce though, They don't let you take any of your food out thought- no white sauce. Room service menu was a total failure- Disgusting!! Unless you like caesar salad. My daughter did't get the room she paid for, that did't seem to bother them either. If there is anywhere at all you can go instead, I would suggest. A choice of going there or staying home would find me at home. Never, ever again, not a good choice!! Avoid!!

    Family time

    I was a bit disappointed with the food and expected more varieties. I came with my friends and family while some areas were ok,we expected a bit more. My son love the mini disco with Mariah from the vibe team.. Jahmau was also a great Mc. The drinks were very good,the rooms were clean. Outside of the negatives,we had a great time.
