    Very nice stay

A very very nice hotel on the beach spoilt a bit by the loud mouth yanks that come here for a 4 day beano throwing their money around !!!! The staff could not do enough for you however and were very pleasant and friendly ,a big plus --Yeh Man!Our room was very nice and the choice of food was very good. It can be quite hard to book these restaurants though and we got our rep to book them and reception also booked them for us Although this is an all inclusive - The incessant tipping will probably cost you around £150 for 14 days -from the courtesy bus drivers to the airport ,the omlete chef ,waitresses ,restaurant staff every bar steward that serves you -etc. We went on 3 excursions all very pleasant ,although a word of caution the negril/riks bar will be an 8-9 hour day two hours 30 mins both ways in the coach We would go back to jamaica tommorrow!!!

A little piece of paradise done well

I can honestly say every time I stay at Royalton Blue Waters, I feel like I'm enjoying my little piece of paradise. The place provides a lot for everybody and most importantly it does so at a price point that's reasonable regardless of market conditions. Over the years there has been some ups and downs but that's par for the course with every business and as a guest we have to put things in context and make sure we don't react to the extremes.  My stay at Royalton Blue Waters in February 2025 was with some mixed emotions because I was attending a funeral, but at the same time I wanted to get my grandson his first experience on the beach. Needless to say our stay was dictated by what my grandson wanted to do everyday. However, we did find some time to relax and enjoy the plentyful amenities afforded by Blue Waters and its staff. As usual, we were greeted with warm welcome by the staff responsible for checking us in, and the concierge services responsible for making sure we have the greatest experience throughout our stay. This always brings smile to my face. As diamond club members at Royalton, you hit the ground running by having access to all the drinks, food and amenities the moment you set foot on the property. So, I got started with the margarita while getting checked in.  I'm a foodie so I will start with providing some review of the various foods on the menu and my experience enjoying them. When I go anywhere on vacation food plays a critical part because travel is all about  experiencing different cultures. Things that you don't typically see in your surroundings on a day-to-day basis and in some cases going back to your childhood days to experience some of the things that brought you pleasure while growing up. The chefs at Royalton Blue Waters do make a concerted effort of providing many of the local Jamaican dishes on a daily basis. Both at the buffet or in the specialty restaurants available to all guests. This time around I had to tip my hat to the chefs for their skillful preparation of many of the local Jamaican dishes, including curry goat, jerk chicken, jerk pork, oxtails, and even stewed cow's feet. These aren't the typical dishes one would expect to see on the menu of a hotel of this caliber serving such wide variety of guest from all over the world. Having these local dishes on the menu everyday removed any temptation of having to go off site to acquire such local dishes. I will go a step further by saying the chefs did their endeavor best of maintaining the taste and presentation of the local dishes. On two occasions I took the opportunity to express my sincere satisfaction with their skillful preparation of the food, mainly because people are very quick to find flaws but often not very forthcoming when things are done well or exceed their satisfaction. So I want to say to the chefs at Blue Waters keep up the good works and as I mentioned to chef Lenroy Gayle to keep pushing forward and don't rest on their morals because that will be the beginning of their downfall. Chef Lenroy Gayle took the time to provide us a little bit of his background and I could see in his face and hearing his voice how much love and passion he has for his job and as I mentioned to him, I tasted in the food. I've been to Blue Waters on previous occasions and I was sad because I could not enjoy many of the dishes on the menu. Thank goodness they listen to our feedback and have made the necessary changes to get things back on track and I can only hope it remains that way.  Another area of service I keenly observed is how well they keep the place. The place is always spotless, especially in the common areas. It's not easy to keep a hotel clean when you have hundreds of guest going back and forth, coming in, going out,  bringing sand from the beach, and  water from the pools. I had to track down the manager responsible for the public areas, Latoya Pusey and expressed my satisfaction in how well they carry out their job to ensure safety, and satisfaction of their guest. And most importantly, all the folks I observe, cleaning and maintaining all have a smile on their face like they really love what they're doing. Keep up the good works guys. It goes a long way to ensure overall satisfaction and keep us coming back year after year.  The hotel business is a very competitive business and with low margins, so any hint of dissatisfaction can negatively impact ongoing operations and the success of the business long term. I can only hope management continue to enable all the workers from chef to ground staff to the folks that does all of the concierge services, housekeeping, etc so they continue to provide top-notch services to us as guest in the coming years.  From a very satisfied guest.  Thanks for all your services.

    Jamaica Beaches

A map of the resort and or itinerary would have been handy when we arrived. The resort we found very clean, swim up was amazing, food was very good. Make sure you make your reservations for restaurants, if you can get in. Service at times would take long, many staff just standing around. No customer service. Very embarrassing when you get escorted off the other resort while going for a walk. The below staff made our holiday memorable. Thank you Bartenders Shacirra, Mellicea and Garfield always had a smile on there face when they seen us coming. Leo our butler was amazing on our requests Tyrone entertained us with laughter

    !!!Marriott Elite Members beware!!!

!!!Marriott Elite Members beware!!! This hotel did not meet our standards. Food is subpar. Amenities are not that great. If you are looking for superior luxury treatment then this is not the place. From a Lifetime Platinum member I may be biased in my standards. Of course, the water view is very nice.

    Watch who’s mixing your drinks?

It was a lovely resort. Not too big and pool and beach close together. Very convenient! The workers worked hard to keep beach clean but when we were there the waves and wind brought in more sea weed than I would like to see. Need MORE LOUNGE CHAIRS and the ones they had needed FIXING. The entertainment was okay but there was NO activity board so that we could see what was going on. Our room was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Restaurants and food were good . BUT someone drugged my drink one afternoon and I got quite sick and was out of it!! Thankfully my husband helped me. THAT should not have happened! One other male traveller had that happen also!! What the heck!!! Don’t know if I’ll go back.
