  5-Star Setting, 3-Star Operation

  This resort has a beautiful property and many genuinely friendly, hardworking employees. Unfortunately, the lack of management oversight is glaring. The same complaints appear repeatedly: horrendous food, restaurants constantly running out of food, inconsistent service, and an experience nowhere near the luxury level being advertised. At an all-inclusive resort, routinely running out of food is simply unacceptable. I work in the hotel industry, and when the same operational failures appear in review after review, that falls on the General Manager and senior leadership. Even more frustrating are the seemingly pre-populated, generic responses to negative reviews—apologies, “we’ve shared this with our leadership team,” and promises to improve—yet guests continue reporting the exact same problems. At some point, stop responding to the reviews and start fixing what they’re saying. We stayed Diamond Club, and Andre, our butler, was absolutely amazing in every sense. Employees like him show the potential this resort has. With proper training, accountability, and management oversight, this genuinely could be a 5-star resort. Operationally, however, especially regarding food, it is a disaster. My recommendation: 3 days at most if you decide to come here. Marriott corporate and the hotel ownership group need to take a serious look at this franchise and its management. A beautiful setting and great frontline employees cannot compensate for repeated operational failures. Right now, this is a 3-star hotel in a 5-star setting. The problem starts at the top.

  Very disappointed with Royalton

  5* would not agree with this. We had 3 days of no water being refilled in our rooms, asked for an upgrade did not even get a response, outside our room was used as a plate drop off of all eaten room meals, plates staked high. Bars always running out of beer, cocktail ingredients. Beach bar serves random people with children even though it is adults only with no charge. To top it off tonight the chief closed the grills for meats & pastas, when asked was told it was his decision. We asked the supervisor why - the answer we got was probably short of food. the beach bar closed at 6,again their decision when it was busy and should close at 7. Booked several restaurants during our stay, very disappointed with most of them as service was very poor all staff looked like they where working there notice and did not care. When asking for drinks you would of thought it's was coming out of the staffs pay. Not many of the staff smiled. Entertainment was the same thing every 3rd day and was at the wrong times. I have added pictures of the 5* buffet choice.

  Amazing fun and friendly staff and exquisite hospitality

  This hotel resort is absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful location. A real gem of the stunning Caribbean. Our experience has been overwhelmingly wonderful thanks to the amazing people working here fulfilling our every needs. Everyone we have encountered t been very friendly and helpful. And in particular we have had the pleasure of meeting Andre and Daniel of the activities, entertainment and fitness department. They are such a great addition to our experience with there charismatic positive energy getting us motivated and feeling awesome. Really enjoyed the morning yoga and fitness classes they instructed. It was great fun and enjoyable. Definitely a highlight to the Royalton Chic Antigua experience. Many thanks and much appreciation.

  Fitness Center

  Really enjoyed using the fitness center. It was clean, well-kept, and had everything I needed for a good workout. Andre was great and did a really good job helping out and making sure everything was good. I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re staying at the resort.

  Aqua Fit

  My girlfriend and I had a great time at the Aqua Fit class! Andre was an excellent instructor energetic, knowledgeable, and made the class fun for everyone. We really enjoyed the experience and would definitely do it again!
