Aug 27, 2026A few frustrating things over a short stay
We booked a room here, as we were attending a friend's wedding in Vegas. It was a nice room, but I have had to knock off stars for a few things: 1. No ability to make tea/coffee in the room, so had to go downstairs and pay a fortune for cup of tea, which was probably a few ¢ in terms of cost. I've never stated in a hotel without the ability to make basic hot drinks. 2. Having to pay to check in early. If the room is ready, we shouldn't have to pay. When I've arrived to hotels before official check-in, the ability to check-in is based entirely on whether the room is available, rather than willingness to pay. I hate when things just feel like a money grab. 3. The bathroom setup was very odd. There was a bathroom with a shower and a toilet, and absolutely space for a sink, but the sink was inexplicably outside the bathroom, and there was a weird sliding door situation, where the door either covered the bathroom or the sink. Really irritating - glad we only stayed for a couple of nights. 4. Possibly the most frustrating thing - no plug sockets next to the bed. We couldn't both charge phones overnight while also easily using them as an alarm clock. Again, glad it was only for a couple of nights. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly though, I can't fault that, but I would book elsewhere in the future.

We love the Sahara, and have stayed here multiple times. Friendly staff and other guests. Casino we like to gamble in at the tables and slots. Maroon restaurant was amazing. Great cabana pool day. We upgraded rooms and can’t say enough good things. Looking forward to the Alexandria tower remodel.

Tried to check in around 2:30 and was told we could only check in by 4pm or pay $25 each room, so went for a brew and checked the booking which stated 3pm check in so went back and booked in with another staff member who didnt question the time. The room was clean, comfy bed, t.v. but the set up wasnt great. Theres sliding mirrored doors for the toilet and shower with the sink in the middle of the doors in the bedroom, so dont brush your teeth with someone on the lavvy as your likely to knock um with the sliding door. No sink in toilet room. No coffee machine either. We all agreed it was ok but not the best choice for us.

A Great Casino and Hotel
Great and friendly people that work there, Great restaurants with amazing food, clean rooms with a great view. Only place that i stay at in Vegas also i have an amazing Executive Casino Host named Daisy. The location is in the middle between Fremont and the middle of the Strip.
