Oct 09, 2026Avoid this old hotel needs a major remake.
If only the rooms could come close to matching the quality of the rest of the hotel. Started out in the Blanca Tower. The room rooms were microscopic and old. I used a walker and a scooter impossible to navigate. Why they even put me in that Tauer is beyond me lack of sensitivity. Then they tried to get me in the Marra tower into what they said was a bigger room. The bed was saggy as can be. The room was tight and poorly finished and smelled. I checked out of the hotel and moved to a Marriott property where I could be assured of a consistent experience.

The location is a bit down from the strip and Fremont but that means it’s perfectly in the middle. Housekeepers performed daily service everyday. I had a two bed in the Blanca towers which is small, the sink is separate from the bathroom and shower. TVs are up to date. I did not spend much time inside the room. The resort had plenty of restaurants on property and there is a business center to mail things out. Very handy! The resort and room are budget friendly.

Superb, Sophisticated and Stylish Sahara!
Just finished a four day stay here and it was excellent. Easy reach to The Strip and Fremont Street by the monorail or Uber but far enough out not to charge exorbitant prices plus has a much more relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend hiring a Cabana at the pool (outstanding service from Leafy and Blakey), it’s not cheap but a real once in a lifetime VIP experience! Biggest Bloody Mary’s and G&Ts ever…. Great bars too and I won $125 at the casino playing Blackjack - felt very cool and sophisticated, real James Bond stuff! Rooms sew really smart too with amazing views.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Room spacious and well lit. Lacked a coffee machine but otherwise comfortable, no plug in bathroom sink but this seems common in USA hotels(?) A large hotel, clean and staff pleasant BUT the worst feature of this hotel was the swimming pool. 1. Our bags were physically 'searched' for any outside food or drink - not even allowed to have water (even though the hotel happily handed out bottles of water on a daily basis) - this was demeaning and disgusting. 2. We weren't allowed to move our sunbeds (wanted to be in the shade) and staff came running over to ensure they were moved back into lines right next to each other with no room in-between - health & safety was stated - absolute rubbish. 3. Loud banging awful music blasting across the entire area - no escape whatsoever. 4. The most uncomfortable sun loungers ever, rope style lattice. Don't come out into the pool area without expecting any of these or if you want a quiet restful time.

Stay away. Not a good resort.
Worst Hotel Ever. So many problems. Water dripping while on toilet, slow drain sink, & Cracked tile. Tv has no channels. Glowing light switch was annoying. Just felt that this hotel was not a comfortable stay.
