    Decent all-inclusive

We stayed at the Sandos Finisterra during the Thanksgiving week. Overall, we had a nice day in the location of this resort as well as the all-inclusive nature make it a good option for Los Cabos. Couple of things I thought worth noting. Rooms: we booked the highest level suite that has a separate living room and is in the part of the resort facing the marina. While the room is nice, it seems slightly dated in its interior design. There is a large tub in the middle of the bathroom that is open to the bedroom. Well, our view was supposed to look at the marina. It was just a big tree that obscured our view and the porch was too small to sit on. We asked to switch rooms to the nicer. Moore recently, renovated rooms overlooking the resort near the breakfast place that had an Ocean view. While these rooms were smaller, they were nicer and again more updated. Food: the breakfast was probably the best meal of the day and they have anything you could imagine, including an omelette station. As far as the other restaurants, we ate at the steak house and it was just okay, meat was not cooked well and was very ropy with lots of tendons. The italian place was also just okay, they ran out of pasta so everyone got fettuccine and the sauce was bland, almost store bought. Food at the pools was good, sushi and pizza, as well as Mexican stuff. Drinks were plentiful and well made. Cupcake acfe was a good place to get espresso drinks and snack. Pools: There are three pools, one for kids, one for adults and one for both aka activity pool. There was always music at the adult and activity pool that was too loud and annoying. They also had games that they played throughout the day which seemed to interfered with just relaxing at the pool and reading. We went to the kiddie pool to escape the noise. They also have cabanas but either they are reserved by families with the "black VIP wrist band" or you can use one with the purchase of a bottle of tequila or champagne. As you can imagine they sat empty most days. Beach: Beach is nice, good to get away from crowds and noise. Can't swim in then ocean so thats a downer. Was able to use the one cabana at beach. Beach drink and food service is great. But beach seems desolate and kinda unused. Location: Place is situated right next to the marina so going into town or going on an excursion was easy. We had brunch at the Marina one morning and took a boat rider to the arches.

    10/10 would recommend!

I booked through Breezy Brides for a destination wedding and it was amazing. Everything was taken care of, all the way up to scheduling transportation to and from the airport and hotel. Very easy to work with and you can tell that everyone wants you to have the best possible time. Rooms were good size and well-maintained. On top of that, the food is amazing and there are almost nightly events to keep you entertained during your stay. I would recommend Breezy Brides and Sandos Finisterra to anyone looking to travel to Los Cabos!!! Thank you 🩷

We love Sandos but Gloria is a problem

My family and I have been loyal guests of Sandos Finisterra for nearly a decade now. We visit often because of the warmth, hospitality, and genuine kindness the team consistently shows. Many of the staff members there have come to feel like family to us. However during our most recent visit we observed something that felt very out of character for the resort we know and love. While at Agave by the pool, we witnessed Gloria (the manager who oversees the entertainment staff) speak sharply to one of the servers in front of guests. This particular server has always provided exceptional service to us over the years — he is consistently warm, professional, attentive, and represents the resort beautifully. It was uncomfortable to see him spoken to so harshly, especially publicly. Throughout the day, Gloria appeared noticeably frustrated, which created a tone that clashed with the otherwise positive, relaxed, and uplifting atmosphere the staff works so hard to create. It stood out because, for us, Sandos Finisterra has always been defined by its kindness, hospitality, and the respectful way staff treat not only guests, but the way they treat one another. I sensed disrespect from Gloria to many of the staff around her. Another staff member informed us that it's not unusual for Gloria to smile to guests but treat the other staff as less-than and rudely. I’m sharing this because we care about the resort and the people who make it special, and sending an email to customer service didn't go anywhere. I guess I'm protective over the pool staff who serve me so well! The culture there is truly the reason we return year after year, and we would hate to see that atmosphere change because of one bad apple. This seems inconsistent with the values Sandos is known for. Thank you for taking the time to read this. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

A Hit and a Miss and Everything In Between

We had a marina view room and we were looking forward to that. Please note that if you choose this then you end up on the service road of the resort if you are on the first level which we were. To access our “casita” you had to walk A LOT and there are A LOT of stairs involved to go anywhere. The roadway was cobblestone so not helpful for luggage and a small elevator for part of our journey was lucky to hold 3 people. Our room had no proper balcony for enjoyment and no where to hang your wet clothes from the pool to dry. Food was okay but none was exceptional as it was all inconsistent. The sushi at the pool is very nice, but don’t bother with the pizza. Hopefully you will be updated on which restaurants are closed on what days as we never were. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Nice sandy beaches. We are used to activity staff being more engaging but they never left the pee pool area (our term of endearment for the swim up bar). Good location for walking the marina area, but keep in mind it’s busy on cruise ship port days and prices go up for souvenirs and excursions. One last thought…pack light because not a single individual ever bothered to dress up for evening meals. Dress code here is non-existent. If you go to the Whale Watchers bar at 4pm for an espresso martini stop at Cupcake and bring the bartender espresso as he gets none there until 5:30 if any at all.
