First time in Cabo! Emmanuel is the best!!

Sandos Finisterra is in a perfect location, overlooking the marina. Property is perfectly maintained. Emmanuel with the entertainment team was the best! Enjoyed him every day. We loved the food at all of the restaurants. Unfortunately the white party was canceled on Wednesday the week we were there.

    Great experience May 2026!

Sandos Finisterra – Cabo – Review from May 2026 trip This review is a bit late but we wanted to provide the feedback. Great trip! We were invited to Sandos Finisterra by friends who had been there in the past. They had nothing but good things to say and we are so glad we joined them! This resort is amazing. We were greeted by a team of employees who were all so polite and welcoming. They maintained that demeaner during our entire stay. Always saying hello and asking if there was anything we needed. We were provided with a main point of contact named Edgar. He was very welcoming and helpful. He and the folks at the Royal Elite desk helped us understand the resort. They make communicating and making requests simple by using “WhatsApp”. Upon arrival, we were set up as our own “group” on WhatsApp. We were able to reach resort staff via other means, but the App is great. We made a few requests via the App and the team was very responsive. If we needed help with booking a reservation, needed extra towels, order room service, etc., we were able to make the request via the App. In addition, every night, we received a timeline of events taking place the following day. The location is beautiful. It has a great view of the marina, Cabo and the ocean. For those who are not very mobile or have injuries (I had a knee and hip issue), this resort is not flat. There are walkways with inclines as well as stairs and ramps around several areas of the resort. I was able to manage as there is an elevator in the front building that takes you to the 7th floor. This leads to a walkway providing access to several of the restaurants located at the top of the resort. Much of the walkway is level however, there are parts that have an incline. There are handrails which were helpful. There are a few other elevators near the top of the resort as well. The gym and spa are located at the top of the resort. Beautiful views. The only issue is that accessing them requires the use of stairs. Using those facilities was doable but difficult for me due to my injuries. I only used the spa once because of this. The driveway from the entrance of the resort is steep so we used Ubers when we left the resort. There were a variety of activities at the pools throughout each day. The entertainment team made sure we felt welcome and made these activities fun. They have a great sense of humor too! We even took a class on how to make a few cocktails and how to make ceviche. I don’t recall the names of the gentlemen who ran these classes, but they made them fun! They had entertainment each night, all of which was enjoyable. At the end of each show, they had some form of contest or activity involving members of the audience (no pressure to get on stage). These were great and we laughed so hard! We enjoyed all of the shows and the antics that took place. And the entertainment team, Yuki, Imara, Emanuelle and Carmen were engaging all day and made our vacation a lot of fun! I know there were more team members – all were great. The DJs were also fantastic! I can’t recall their names, but the music was well done! The entire team was fantastic! The live musical entertainment was also great! Amazing voices and dancing! On Wednesday, they had a White Out Party on the beach. – many folks wore white but no problem if you didn’t have white clothing with you. Great barbeque setup and fun entertainment. In addition, they did a nice job introducing and recognizing the team that keeps the resort humming! Not just introducing them but doing so in a dance party type scenario. Was fun and good to see people being recognized for their hard work. Can’t say enough about the staff! Veronica took care of us several times at Emilio’s and Tortuga. She was a joy. There was also a gentleman who worked at Emilio’s in the morning and taught us how to make cocktails – can’t recall his name but he was also wonderful. The head chef at Diego’s, I think his name was Carlos, was also excellent. Very helpful. He also taught the Ceviche class. We also enjoyed the spa. Great massage along with a hot tub, plunge pool, sauna and steam room. It is connected to the gym which we also utilized. The gentleman at the gym was so helpful! I think his name is Federico. He helped me with a few machines and my husband took a few classes with him. Other than the stairs, it was a great experience. Carlos at the pool was fantastic. It was hot outside, there was a lot of sun and he just kept going full speed making sure everyone had drinks. How he kept track of things was amazing. He was taking care of a lot of people who were moving around the pool. Great job! There were plenty of options for food. The various restaurants had a variety of dishes and were very accommodating. I have an allergy to onions and garlic, which is a tough one as it’s in most dishes, but every restaurant made sure my meal was safe. I’ve never been to a resort with such attention to food allergies. Very impressive! For those in my shoes, this is critical! All the restaurants were great! We went to Emilio’s and Tortuga several times. We ended each night at Cupcake to enjoy a small bakery bite and some coffee/cappuccino! The Whale Bar was a nice place to have a drink – great view and great bartenders! The team at this resort was so hard-working, from the folks that greeted us every day, to the people providing us with pool towels, to the wait staff and all other members of the staff. Didn’t see anything but friendliness and smiles. Thanks to all for a great experience!

A Home Away From Home in Cabo — We’ll Be Back! ❤️

We just returned from a wonderful week at Sandos Finisterra in Cabo San Lucas, and we absolutely loved our stay. The setting and views are incredible and were one of our favourite things about the resort. It almost doesn’t matter which direction you’re facing. On the Pacific side, you can enjoy the dramatic ocean scenery and watch the waves rolling in, while on the marina side, you can watch the boats coming and going against the backdrop of Cabo. From so many areas of the property, you have amazing views in virtually every direction. The rocky landscape surrounding the resort is spectacular, and we loved how the architecture of Finisterra has been incorporated into the natural terrain. The cliffs, rock formations, terraces, pathways and buildings give the property so much character. It feels completely different from a typical flat beachfront resort and was such a cool place to wake up to every morning. One important thing to know is that the beach directly at the resort is not swimmable because of the ocean conditions. The Pacific is beautiful to look at, and we loved watching and listening to the powerful waves, but you absolutely cannot swim there. If swimming in the ocean is important to you, there is a lovely local swimmable beach just a short walk down the road, so we didn’t feel like we were missing out on being able to enjoy the water. The location is fantastic as well. We loved being close enough to walk into the marina and downtown Cabo while still being able to come back to the resort and feel completely removed from everything. But what really made this week special for us was the people. One of the biggest highlights was the entertainment team — Juki, Carmen, Emmanuel and Nadia. They were fantastic. The activities they arranged throughout the day and the shows and entertainment each evening added so much to our experience. Their energy, friendliness and enthusiasm made us feel genuinely welcome and included. By the end of the week, seeing them felt more like seeing familiar faces than simply resort staff. That feeling extended throughout the resort. So many of the staff were warm, attentive and genuinely friendly, and they really made Finisterra feel like a home away from home. We especially appreciated how patient so many people were with us as we practiced our Spanish. The staff speak excellent English, so communication was never a problem, but many were happy to slow down, speak Spanish with us, help us find the right words and give us a chance to practice. Those interactions were fun and became some of our favourite little moments of the trip. A special thank-you also goes to Edgar, our concierge, who was friendly and helpful with anything we needed from the beginning of our stay right through to the end. We really appreciated knowing that we could reach out to him whenever we needed something. The food was another highlight. The à la carte dining was amazing, and we genuinely looked forward to dinner every night. The food was excellent, and the restaurant staff were consistently attentive, friendly and accommodating. Having different restaurants and experiences to enjoy made our evenings feel special throughout the week. We also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There was a good selection to start the day, and it was nice having an easy, relaxed breakfast before heading off to activities, the pool or exploring Cabo. The spa and wellness facilities became another favourite part of our vacation. I had a fantastic massage, and the spa itself is gorgeous. On several days, we made a little self-care ritual out of spending time in the jacuzzi and cold plunge, enjoying the eucalyptus steam room and sauna, and then getting ready in the beautiful showers and change rooms. There are separate facilities for men and women with additional amenities inside the change-room areas, and we really enjoyed being able to incorporate the spa into our days even when we weren’t booked for a treatment. The gym also has a great atmosphere, and a special mention has to go to Frederick’s morning yoga and Pilates classes. They were such a wonderful way to start the day — getting the body moving and leaving us feeling refreshed, stretched out and energized for the day ahead. Between the classes, gym and spa, it was surprisingly easy to make wellness and self-care part of our vacation. For anyone considering travelling in the summer, August is extremely hot and humid, so come prepared for it. Stay hydrated, use plenty of sun protection and plan outdoor activities with the heat in mind. We still had an amazing time, but the heat is definitely something to consider when planning your days. Our only small suggestion for improvement would actually relate to the heat: cooler water in the room showers! I kept the shower at its coolest setting throughout the week, and it was still a little too warm to fully cool down after being outside. It certainly wasn’t a major issue, but during the hottest months, having the option of a genuinely cool shower would be wonderful. Overall, we loved Sandos Finisterra. It gave us exactly the balance we wanted between relaxing at a beautiful all-inclusive resort, enjoying great food and entertainment, taking care of ourselves, and being able to get out and experience Cabo. Most of all, we are going to miss the wonderful people we met at Finisterra. They made us feel welcome from the beginning of our stay until the very end and turned a beautiful resort into somewhere that genuinely felt like our home away from home. We left with wonderful memories, some new friends and a place we’re genuinely sad to leave. We will absolutely be planning a trip back to Sandos Finisterra as soon as we’re able. ❤️

🌴🇲🇽 Another Amazing Cabo Experience — Sandos Finisterra! ❤️☀️

Vanessa and I had a wonderful stay at Sandos Finisterra in Los Cabos, Mexico! From the beautiful resort to the incredible service, this trip gave us even more reasons to love Cabo. A special thank you to Edgar, our concierge, for taking great care of us; Yuki from the activities staff, for bringing the energy and fun; and Carlos, our poolside bar and drink server, for the outstanding service while we relaxed and enjoyed the Cabo sunshine. And our ocean-view rooms were absolutely spectacular! Waking up to those breathtaking Pacific Ocean views made every morning feel like paradise. This was our third visit to Cabo, and each trip continues to create unforgettable memories for us. Great vacations are about more than the destination, they’re about the people, experiences, and moments you share with someone you love. Thank you to the entire Sandos Finisterra team for making our stay so special. Until next time, Cabo… Gracias! We’ll be back!

    Great Family Resort

This was the ultimate family resort. The staff was excellent and the food was some of the best we’ve had an all-inclusive resort. The views were stunning and there’s plenty to do including entertainment every night.
